Following a story.
- Dolph Ziggler became the new WWE United States Champion at tonight’s Capitol Punishment pay-per-view from Washington, DC. He defeated Kofi Kingston in the opener.

- Ezekiel Jackson became the new WWE Intercontinental Champion tonight at Capitol Punishment by defeating his former partner Wade Barrett. This is Jackson’s second title reign as he held the ECW Title for a night.

- The dark match before tonight’s pay-per-view saw Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov beat Heath Slater & Justin Gabriel.
