MMAWeekly has reported that the UFC has severed ties to TUF finalist Kris McCray.

McCray defeated Kyle Noke and Josh Bryant to reach the finals of the 11th season of “The Ultimate Fighter.â€￾ However, in the championship bout, Court McGee submitted him and handed him his first official loss.

After the completion of the reality show contest, McCray dropped down to the welterweight division. However, success was easily found at the new weight. He dropped his next two fights to Carlos Eduardo Rocha and John Hathaway.

Despite being 29 years old, McCray is still relatively early in his professional career. He made his debut against Joey Kirwan at UWC 4 in 2008.
