As you may have heard, TNA is taking over NYC on January 7-9 with TV broadcasts scheduled to take place at the Manhattan Center. New Yorkers are extremely passionate about their city, and NYC is rich with wrestling history. In honor of our three days in the city that never sleeps, we present 3 reasons why TNA loves New York!
New Yorkers LOVE pro wrestling and the city has been lucky enough to host some of the greatest wrestling moments of all time! From the early days of pro wrestling shows selling out Madison Square Garden in the 70s all the way to the present, New York City has maintained a truly special bond with professional wrestling.
The Big Apple has also been home to some of TNA’s biggest moments. Sold-out shows at Hammerstein Ballroom, Hulk Hogan’s signing to TNA held at Madison Square Garden, and now, TNA's debut on Destination America at the famed Manhattan Center! Traditionally, January is cold, but TNA is going to heat up NYC!
As you can see on Spin Cycle each week, our wrestlers can’t agree on much – but everyone can agree that New York City is home to some of the best food in the world! Whether you have the fine taste of EC3 and enjoy spending upwards of $300 a plate at Per Se, or you just want an amazing slice of New York pizza at 3 a.m., New York has something delicious for everyone.
Not only that, but Hell’s Kitchen (home to the Manhattan Center) is home to some of New York’s best restaurants. Restaurants such as Mercato, Hallo Berlin, Daisy May’s BBQ, and Tulcingo del Valle are just another reason why Hell’s Kitchen is the perfect neighborhood for TNA!
Most importantly, the greater New York area is home to several of our wrestlers, past and present. Current IMPACT stars Velvet Sky and Taz call New York home and Robbie E is just a train ride away in Jersey. Whether they are New Yorkers or not, all wrestlers dream of the day that they get to step in the ring in front of one of the most die-hard groups of wrestling fans on the planet.
New York, we’re coming for you! Get tickets now!
