Three Additions to the Smackdown Roster

WWE.com has added Darren Young, Derrick Bateman and Percy Watson to the SmackDown roster. All three wrestlers have largely appeared on WWE NXT. Meanwhile, Maxine and Titus O’Neil are still listed as NXT talent.

Strange that they moved three of them onto Smackdown but have left the other two on NXT. Maybe the others will be sent to RAW to even things out? Not sure if this means anything for these guys, will they actually be pushed on Smackdown or will they be completely ignored until NXT finishes?

Intresting, can't see them getting loads of TV time at the minute I imagine they will be ignored until after NXT unless they have some sort of crossover show/matches

I think they should move Maxine to the RAW or SmackDown roster. She has good charisma & knows how to cut a promo, she's also smoking hot (especially with her attire) and can actually wrestle a decent match.

If these three get TV time, it's not going to be until after Wrestlemania. Watching NXT has changed my opinion of Watson and Young. I feel as though Darren has improved greatly since his original call up, and I always liked Percy but hated the "Showtime" gimmick. I think Watson has a solid midcard career ahead of him.

Bateman and O'Neil? Eh. Titus can cut a decent promo, but I still think he's a little green. A few more months on NXT should change that though. And Derrick is kind of just there for me, he doesn't stand out.

I think Bateman and Young have potential to have sloid carrers.

Why isnt Maxine on my TV yet!

Maxine needs to be on T.V whether it be Raw or SD. Would actually rather have her in Eve's spot right now. Also wish they would let Naomi wrestle and have her on either brand as well.

I'm surprised they didn't move Maxine over to SD with Bateman. Especially since they're meant to be an on-screen couple.

Anyway this is a decent selection but this screws up some of NXT's biggest angles like Titus/Percy (they're still doing that right?) and Maxine/Curtis/Kaitlyn/Bateman. I'd have thought Titus would get the call up too given his Shad-ish heel turn and gimmick.

Also, Bateman is legit. His bromosexual thing he had going on with Danielson on nXt was gold. Couldnt care less about Black Cena & Black Buff Bagwell.

Bateman is a good comedy act, which people find entertaining now but i'm 100% sure people will turn on him within a month. And who really cares about the other two guys anyways they will never be in the main event or even mid card champions.

I'm all for Maxine and Kaitlyn to be on TV. Need more hawt female wrestlers on TV.

I think she plays the heel quite well and is ready enough in the ring to warrant the move to Smackdown. Its just the outfit strikes me as, like, "Wow, really? You're gonna fight someone in a ring wearing that?". She looks hot in it but its... Silly? I can't really put into words how it weirds me out exactly.

I think it neither subtracts or adds to her persona, which I know isn't the point but still. I don't think it suits her I guess is what I'm trying to say. Then again, she's at least found a look early on that seems to work unlike Kaitlyn who is heaven personified.

Interesting move here, especially with NXT.

Do you feel it could become a solidtary third brand? With Regal as their GM, I see some interesting changes in the upcoming draft.

No it can't be it's own brand because it isn't aired in the US. Plus WWE struggle to have enough quality talent to cover two shows, there is no way they can fill three rosters.

I'm tempted to throw Johnny Curtis in the big brand and see what he can do. Percy doesn't do it for me. The guy looks like a cheerleader in the ring.
