So we’ve heard rumors that Daniel Bryan is more or less on a retirement tour and he’s planning on stepping away to be a father. The thing I find weird about this is how soon after returning he’s ready to hang it up. After being forced to retire in 2016, he kept saying how desperate he was to return and kept going to multiple doctors to get cleared. Finally he gets cleared in 2018 and now only two years later he wants to retire. Add that to the fact that he’ll only be 40 this year and I think the whole situation is weird. You wanna come back more than anything and finally get the chance now you wanna retire two years later? Apparently the reason he’s been losing all his matches is because he wants to put people over on his way out.

Thoughts?

He came back from a bad neck and a broken head.....maybe he finally realized after his second kid that maybe this pro wrestling shit isn't more inportant than being able pick up your kids and being able to remember seeing them accomplish things in their lives.

Pretty much this.

He’s turning 40 and if he can retire and spend the rest of his life with his kids without needing help walking around or remembering his name, he should take it.

Not to mention he had that great Captain Planet WWE Champion run and I don’t feel he’s getting another.

Let's also not forget he will have a guaranteed job at any PC around the world.

Or run his own school.

Unless things changed or I misread, he's retiring from a full time schedule not actually retiring as a whole.

Would love to see him take a run down in NXT though.

Let's him go out on his own terms and come back for the once a year match or just stay behind the scenes on creative, either way wish him and his family all the luck in the world.
