Actually really enjoyed the way Jarrett debuted in WCW, made a real impact. Also, that period was the last time the US Title was so hot.

AJ hadn't hit his peak yet in 2004, but certainly the X Division and he were things to watch back then.

97 Jarrett sucked, playing Ric Flair light and feuding over Debra was terrible. That US title was won from Mongo McMichael, that title didn't mean anything.

US Title 97 had the likes of Benoit, Melanko, Hening and Page competing over it. I just about forgive Mongo for those names. Whether you rated Jarrett or not I am just talking about the way WCW debuted him, that anti-heel role which worked somewhere between WCW and NWO was a good a bit of booking.
