Things you hate about video games

I’m a trophy hunter (or trophy whore, I’ll accept either), getting as many trophies in a game is exciting to me and I like the challenge, but, one of the worst kinds I hate are when you are playing a 50-100+ hour game and there’s a trophy for completing the game on a difficulty that you unlock after finishing it the first time. That itches my ass, there’s a great chance I’m never gonna platinum that game cuz I’m not going to do all that shit over adding for one trophy.

Games being too bloody expensive lol.

Games that are older and had an online function that got shut down over the years - gen 5 of Pokemon had medals you could achieve but some of them were related to the online service, but Nintendo shut it down years ago, so you can never get those medals

In the same vein, games that rely too heavily on multiplayer and online play. I'm a person with no gaming friends and I like to play solo, dammit

Too much emphasis on online play.....some people don't have WiFi when they're playing in camps.

Also the games these days require too much downloading.....if I'm paying out the ass for a disc, I sure as fuck want a finished game.

Pausable cut scenes just need to be universal and then also have an option to skip from that menu. I think the Uncharted series has those

One thing that annoys the shit out of me is the "Pay for Play" bullshit with Mobile Games. Like seriously, you can play a game for a week, drop a couple of hundred bucks, and be over powered. Most games don't separate players by rank neither.

This used to not bother me because I like them but when replaying games it's nice to skip.

I also hate checkpoints right before long cutscenes. Replaying Gears of War there were a few places I died that I would have to go back and watch this same section each time I died.

yeah, the cost is ridiculous, it’s not even a full game, shouldn’t be that much when there’s 800 DLC to download. We are paying full price for an unfinished game.

I don't mind paying the 60-70 bucks for a game as long as that's basicaly it but yeah now there's all sorts of DLC or "Gold, Platinum, ULTIMATE" editions. Some of this games for for over $100.

Oh, and speaking of full games. I buy some games on physical format still that I know I will want to sell and get money back(Call of Duty each year) and most of those now only have like 157mb on the actual disc and the rest is downloaded.

I bought Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and it was less than 200mb it got from the disc and 140gb download.
