The Women's Division Shake Up

Well...the Wrestlemania week SmackDown just wrapped up...and my mind is now turning to the
"Superstar Shake Up" announced by the President of the Roman Reigns fan club...and to be
honest...the Women's division desperately needs some personnel changes...and because I like
nothing better than thinking about the intelligent, athletic and beautiful women of the WWE...
I've decided to put Wrestlemania and that joke of a 5 and a half minute match behind me and
I'm going to fantasy book the upcoming "Superstar Shake Up" (Draft) for the women's division.

Are you okay with that? I hope so...cause I'm doing it anyway.

Now right off the bat I just want to state that it would be better for the entire division if they were
all on one show with 1 main title and 1 secondary title (the Women's Intercontinental Championship?)
but...we have a brand split and the WWE wants ladies on both shows.

So...let's look at RAW first and their current line up:

Faces:
Bayley (Champion)
Sasha Banks
Dana Brooke (?)

Heels:
Charlotte
Emma
Nia Jax
Alicia Fox

Unknown:
Summer Rae

(I'm not counting Paige...and I'm sure WWE isn't either and Lana is a non-factor at this point)

Okay...so...looking at this line up...I can see who should be moved.

My Bae Charlotte has done all she can with Sasha & Bayley and since loosing the title she seems
to have done nothing but tap out to Sasha or be pinned by Bayley. The writing is on the wall and
moving her to SmackDown would be the best move for her at this point.

She no longer has a claim on the RAW championship...her PPV streak has been broken...her "relationship"
with Dana Brooke is over...and she was just recently smacked around by Nia Jax.

Plus the only way Sasha can turn on Bayley and become the top heel is for Charlotte to be out of
the picture. There is no way Charlotte would team with Sasha against Bayley...and speaking of Sasha's
heel turn...

Nia Jax also needs to move to SmackDown...mainly because a heel Sasha could also never logically team with
her either. She needs some new opponents to fight and the SmackDown writers could help her develop her somewhat
blank slate of a character. And lets be honest...Nia has no chance of winning the title on RAW with Bayley now
clearly "the chosen one"

Plus moving Nia to the blue brand would allow her to team up with her real life friend and draft
superstar Alexa Bliss. Teaming Nia with Alexa would be the classic "Mouth & Muscle" pairing and
Alexa could do all the talking...allowing Nia to play to her strengths...which is using her size and
power to crush all those in their ways. It would be like when she teamed with Eva Marie...only
a lot less shit.

Now...working out a third pick was hard for me...because well...the options are limited.

Dana Brooke needs to be kept away from Charlotte & Summer Rae still hasn't returned from injury...
so...I guess my third draft pick would be Alicia Fox.

I really do like Foxy and I think she's being wasted simply playing valet to Noam Dar...but due to
the Scottish cruiserweight recently suffering a serious injury...it might be time for Foxy to be set
loose in the SmackDown henhouse. A change of enviroment and a face turn might just reinvigorate her
career...and I'm sure the SmackDown writers could do so much with her fun and over-the-top style of
performing. Plus being on SmackDown live would still allow her to appear on 205 Live once Noam Dar
has returned.

So...that's who I would draft...
~ Charlotte (to become the top heel of SmackDown)
~ Nia Jax (to be teamed up with Alexa Bliss)
&
~ Alicia Fox (to be turned face)

Now...on to SmackDown...and I'm trading three from RAW...so its only fair that the Blue Brand give back
three in return.

The SmackDown line up reads as follows:

Naomi (Champion)
Becky Lynch
Nikki Bella (Currently inactive/injured)
Mickie James (?)

Heels:
Alexa Bliss
Natalya
Carmella

Unknown:
Tamina

(Eva Marie is gone (and pointless anyway) and Maryse is a non-factor)

The first to be drafted to RAW should be Mickie James. Once Sasha turns Bayley will only have
Dana Brooke for back up and that just won't work. Drafting Mickie James to RAW would allow her to play
the mentor role for Bayley and hopefully allow Bayley to develop as a character. Mickie has seen and done
it all in the world of wrestling and I could see Bayley wanting to learn from Mickie. Plus...Face Mickie is just
more fun.

My second choice would be Carmella. Now frankly Carmella has had it pretty rough
since being drafted to SmackDown.Originally she was booked as a face (remember
SummerSlam?)..only to be turned heel suddenly (Thanks to Eva Marie's wellness policy
violation), was smacked around by Nikki Bella at 2 pay per views and then was paired up
with Jimmy No Chin.

She really has had a rotten time on SmackDown...and being drafted to RAW would allow her character to
change dramatically. Turning face, teaming back up with Enzo & (real life partner) Big Cass and becoming
a much needed ally for Bayley would all be steps in the right direction for the Fabulous one.

Third to go to the Red brand would be "Nasty" Nattie Neidhart. Serving as the opposite to Mickie James...
Natalya could really test Bayley's in-ring skills while being a nasty, spiteful bitch in the process. Hopefully
wherever she ends up...Nattie will be doing less cringe inducing taunts and spend more time stretching her
opponents with submission holds.

So...that's who I would draft...
~ Mickie James (to serve as a mentor & ally to Bayley)
~ Carmella (to turn face, team back up with Enzo & Cass and help Bayley)
&
~ Natalya (to be be a bone breaking bitch and "test" Bayley & Carmella in the ring)

So...with my "shake up" choices somewhat explained...here are my final line ups:

Now...will any of these brand superstar swaps happen? Only time will tell...but because I'm
in a good mood...I'll list a few more I actually wouldn't mind seeing:

Emma to SmackDown:
Its not like RAW has done anything with her...for what feels like an eternity!

Alexa Bliss to RAW:
Playing second fiddle to Sasha would be a step backwards...but it wouldn't really hurt at this point...

Dana Brooke to SmackDown:
Hopefully the writers could give her some actual character development...

Sasha Banks to SmackDown:
Well...as long as Charlotte or Nia don't go with her...it could work...

And the one move I'm praying doesn't happen is...

Becky Lynch to RAW:
Becky deserves better than to be stuck in Bayley's shadow or being repeatedly defeated by Sasha Banks.
Becky should be SmackDown 4 life!

Well...that about wraps it up.

Mickie James on Raw doesn't make sense to me. She signed a short deal contract I believe.

I mean there is a lot they can do at this point... Like they do have some call-up options from NXT. It would be a shame for them to just sweep the division under the rug again.

Mickie signed a 3 year deal, IIRC.

And yeah, they do have NXT call-ups to rely on, but I don't really think they'll do it, as far as the women go. They could call up Billie and Peyton, but it feels like it's too early for them.

And as much as I'd love it, Asuka ain't getting called up before June/July.

- Yup, she should debut right after she drops the title. There's TakeOver: Chicago on May 20th, so they may have her drop the title there and then do a rematch in Brooklyn (unless they want her to drop the title there, the Brooklyn show takes place the day before SummerSlam, btw). So, Idk. Her main roster debut might happen 2 months from now, or like 4-5 months from now. It all depends on WWE's plans for her, obviously.

It appears the Charlotte 4 Alexa Bliss trade is all but confirmed...

Don't be surprised is Charlotte is crushed by Nia Jax tomorrow night...
and frankly...I'm not happy about it...but Sasha & Bayley have been
defeated by Nia...so its only fair that Charlotte does the same.

I want Alexa to go Raw and feud with Charlotte. Charlotte can begin a gradual face turn pretty easily with all the heat Alexa can draw.

They are my two favorites so naturally I want to see them in the ring together. Though the more I think about it the more I am unsure as to how they would actually look in the ring together.

I think Alexa and Nia would need to team up, I don't think Alexa can beat Charlotte clean ever.

Would definitely be something new besides the Bayley, Sasha, Charlotte thing going on for the last year.

Moving Charlotte to smackdown was the right call, she needs something new as they had done everything they could with her on Raw.

Well...it turns out I was nowhere near close...apart from Mickie James to RAW & Charlotte to SmackDown...

I don't think I've ever been so disappointed by an Alexa Bliss entrance...
Sasha was just about to turn and "Spiteful" hit...Damn.

There appears to be balance...but if I'm being honest...I want Sasha to
turn heel, crush Bayley, drink her tears and finally have a long run as
Champion.

But...rumor is Bayley will be keeping the belt for some time.

Alexa Bliss seems...less special now she's on RAW...and Nia Jax may
finally be getting a "Strowman-like" push...

RAW now has 8 active female performers...I just hope they use them
right and create some interesting stories and feuds.

Again...there is balance...and with Charlotte added to the roster...it hopefully
means the women of SmackDown will be getting more attention and hopefully
some big matches on the dual brand pay per views.

While I worship Charlotte, love Becky and respect Natalya...I hope Naomi
gets a "fair go" with the title...but...I'm hoping Charlotte will become a dual
brand Champion sooner rather than later.

All in All...WWE did a decent job and the Women's division as a whole will
be better for the shake up.

It could have been shakier, IMO. But at least there will be some new match ups. I think Charlotte is probably going to dominate the hell out of Smackdown though. I also would have liked to seen a bigger feud between Charlotte and Nia Jax, but I guess it was done this way to make Nia look more dominant.
