23rd December 2011

The show kicks off with Booker T having a standing ovation as he makes his way to the announce table with his music on. But it gets cut short by Cody Rhodes. He gloats on his victory at TLC, and threatens Booker, saying that any given day, he will decimate Booker T to the point of no return. Booker looks like he could bite at some point, but out comes Teddy Long to let Rhodes know that Booker T is off the superstars list, and laying a hand on him would be harming staff. Instead he had a match with sheamus to worry about... and that match was next!

Cody_Rhodes15.jpg
vs.
Sheamus2.jpg

Cody Rhodes defeated Sheamus via disqualification - Jinder Mahal, still upset about the string of results he has had against the great white, doesn't touch Sheamus, but instead trips Cody Rhodes, costing Sheamus the match. Sheamus runs after Jinder backstage.

Ad break

Sheamus and Jinder Mahal are brawling backstage. Sheamus hits a Brogue kick and a few EMTs are trying to stop Sheamus. Sheamus won't listen though, and instead drags Jinder by his neck into position, and hits an Irish Curse through a glass window. Sheamus leaves as EMT's tend to Jinder.

Mark Henry comes out to the arena and talks about how he hasn't had his rematch, and he is demanding it at the Royal Rumble. Big Show comes out and claims he as the last World Champion and he shouldn't miss out on a rematch either. Mark says he would beat Show for a shot tonight but his leg is too banged up. Teddy Long comes on the tron and says they both face opponents next week to determine who faces Daniel Bryan at the Rumble. Mark Henry will face Wade Barrett, and Big Show will face Randy Orton in two number one contender matches next week on Smackdown.

DrewMcIntyre2.jpg
vs.
HeathSlater3.jpg

A really good back and forth match with both men showing innovation and a real step up from when they were last seen on live TV. As much as the fans were behind Heath Slater however, Drew McIntyre hit the Future Shock DDT and got the victory. He cut a promo about the American Nightmare and put the locker room on notice.

Raw recap of Kanes attack on John Cena, and the six man tag main event.

Beth_Phoenix52.jpg
NatalyaNeidhart.jpg
vs.
AliciaFox-13.jpg
thKelly_Kelly37.jpg

A tag team match dominated by Pin up Strong due to Kelly Kelly hurting herself early on. But, during the match, the lights go out. Kharmas face flashes on the titan tron, and the lights suddenly re-emerge. All four ladies are laid out, and Foxx is on top of Natalya for the 3 count and the win!

Daniel Bryan comes out and talks about his World title capture. Wade Barrett interrupts, says he is going to qualify for the Royal Rumble, and that he would beat Bryan anytime, just like he has before. The World Champion challenges Barrett to the main event tonight, which Barrett accepts.

Ad Break

Orton interview about Barrett's attack last Monday. Orton swears to hit Barrett exactly where it hurts, but says he is leaving the arena for tonight.

Ezekiel_Jackson.jpg
vs.
Ted_DiBiase_Jr2.jpg

In the middle of this match, the #itscoming promo video airs. It finishes and Jackson was hitting DiBiase with a few body slams and picks up the win pretty quickly.

Royal Rumble promo

Daniel_Bryan2.jpg
vs.
WadeBarrett4.jpg

An epic encounter which saw counter after counter, and Bryan got momentum going. His LeBelle Lock got reversed however by the strength of Barrett and he started to take control of the match up. He hit the Winds of Change and got a near fall. More offense by the Jackal but Bryan comes back with a few kicks, one nearly clean knocking Wade out, but only for a near fall. Barrett showed tenacity and fought through and got Bryan up for Wasteland. But in comes a man in a black suit and balaclava with a chair hitting Wade Barrett clean out with it, causing him to win but by DQ only. He hits him a few times and runs off, leaving Barrett laid out in the middle of the ring as the show closes.

26th December 2011

A recap of Smackdowns main event and the attack of Wade Barrett is shown before the arena lights up, and Barrett is already in the ring sitting on a steel chair. He proclaims that there is no way the show is continuing until Orton explains why he attacked him on Smackdown. Orton comes out on the stage and said it wasn't him, and if it was Orton, then he wouldn't be in the arena tonight. Barrett does not believe him, and threatens to stay in the ring. This prompts Dolph Zigglers music! He comes out and tells Barrett to leave the ring as the whole of the WWE Universe needs to see him. This "boring" back and forth between Orton and Barrett is not being watch by anyone, but before he can say anymore, a huge pyro flash goes off!

Michael Cole: Oh my god! For the third week running, Kane is on his way out here.

Kane brings out the ripped John Cena t-shirt from last week. He stares at Dolph who lets Kane go. And Barrett soon scarpers as Kane makes his way down to the ring. In the middle of the ring he takes the first mask off to reveal the red half-mask. He lays the ripped t-shirt on the floor. He then sets it alight with matches, and he laughs maniacally as Raw goes for a commercial.

AD BREAK

ZackRyder-6.jpg
vs.
Jack_Swagger7.jpg

W00219pi.jpg

Zack Ryders first defense of the United States Championship, and Vickie Guerrero at ringside, where she was where her one client Ziggler lost it, trying to re-gain it with All American American Jack Swagger. Ryder in complete control until Vickie tried to trip him up. Ryder looked down at her and yelled "Are You Serious Bro?!" but that was enough for Swagger to get a roll-up... only for a two count however. The Long Island Iced Z fought back after over a minute in the Ankle Lock, and hit a Ruff Ryder off one leg. Hooking the leg, he claims the victory and his first US Title defense.

Cena is in Laurinitis' office. He claims that he wants Kane tonight in the ring one on one. The GM has already given Kane the night off, but he gives Cena a match against the man he fought when Kane first came back... Mark Henry.

The screen jolts in the arena, and "Best in The World" can be seen before...

LOOK IN MY EYES?!
WHAT DO YOU SEE?

CM Punk comes out on stage with a microphone. He tells the arena the match that Laurinitis has just made, and how exciting and innovative it is. He starts the notion about getting John out of his role as GM, but Laurinitis shows up on the tron and tells Punk to get ready for a punishment match he has lined up for him.

New #itbegins promo. The two kids are in the classroom as they have been. But the camera then shows outside the classroom, with the two kids looking out the window. Then the camera zooms out, and it shows other classrooms, with the same two children in the window. Then it goes to black and shows the words "plural" before finishing.

Josh Matthews with Orton. Orton promises it wasn't him that attacked Barrett and he did go straight home after Smackdown. He does say however he wish he had done it, and he will take his frustrations out on Dolph Ziggler tonight.

The Miz comes to the ring to take on World Champion Daniel Bryan. He cuts a promo about making him in NXT, and he will be the one to break him tonight, and went as far to saying that he'll move to Smackdown to take his World Heavyweight Championship off him because he's The Miz and well... you know the rest.

Mike_Mizanin28.jpg
vs.
Daniel_Bryan2.jpg

A good twenty minute match with plenty of offense going for both men. Miz even hit a Skull Crushing Finale but Bryan got his foot on the bottom rope. Getting too cocky proved to be his downfall however, as Bryan hit a bulldog as The Miz wasn't facing him, and quickly locked the LeBelle Lock in to claim the victory via submission. Bryan celebrates with his title.

AD BREAK

Beth Phoenix and Natalya talk to Laurinitis about Kharma. He lets them know Kharma is not cleared to compete for months yet so they have nothing to worry about. They walk off wondering what exactly happened on Smackdown.

Orton1.jpg
vs.
Dolph_Ziggler-2.jpg

Dolph Ziggler starts with a flourish and keeps Randy Orton grounded. Working on the neck mostly and his a few neckbreakers, swinging neckbreakers, before applying the sleeper hold. Orton looks out, but when the ref checks to see if theres any fight in him with the drop of the arm the third time, he keeps his arm up, and he punches his way out of it. He gets to his feet and builds up some offence, including his faceplant off the ropes. He's going to that other place and starts to stalk Ziggler for the RKO, but he gets sidetracked when what looks like the same guy from Smackdown attacks Orton. A DQ win for Randy, but a chair attack on him is the more important factor. Ziggler leaves Orton to be decimated, but, Barrett runs out to try and avenge his attack. The masked man leaves through the crowd, and although they can't stand each other, they both look at each other confused as to who is attacking them.

Another new #Itbegins promo. The classroom doors are all open. All the classrooms have emptied and the school is dead. No-one is in the playground, or near the lake. Then it simply says "Seven Days" and turns off again.

Punk4.jpg
vs.
The_Uso_Brothers.jpg

CM Punk in a handicap match but he seemed in control hitting a GTS on Jay straight away, and throwing Jimmy out of the ring to pick up the win via pinfall in four minutes. WWE Champion looking very impressive. Triple H's music hits, and he comes out to firstly congratulate Punk. Then he goes on to say likely this years Wrestlemania will be his last, and he'd love to be there is champion. He said he's done the Royal Rumble, that's one thing he doesn't need. He challenges CM Punk to put his title on the line against him at Royal Rumble. Punk likes the idea of it and accepts as long as "Mr. Excitement" can fathom this as being a good idea. They shake hands and both leave.

AD BREAK

Alberto Del Rio demanding respect in the ring when we come back. He talks about in the past he has had people hinder him and hold him back. He wishes his best friend Ricardo Rodriguez a speedy recovery, and he's the only person to have ever helped him. Cue the return of Brodus Clay! The crowd cheer as he walks down the ramp shouting at Del Rio. A referee follows and this is going to be a match.

BrodusClay001KYKYBackground.jpg
vs.
AlbertoDelRio-10.jpg

Brodus wastes no time lumping fists into Del Rio. Del Rio escapes the ring and takes a breather. Clay chases him and throws him back in the ring. But as Clay tries to get back in, Del Rio hits him with an Inzeguri as he comes in, and he locks in the cross arm breaker. Brodus waits a while and tries to break out of it but in the end taps out after a valliant effort.

John Laurinitis is seen on his phone. He confirms CM Punk vs Triple H for the Royal Rumble, but he said it's going to be more exciting than a straight singles match. He has a plan but he will unveil it in due course.

John_Cena-4.jpg
vs.
MarkHenry3.jpg

After a good five minutes of back and forth offense, Mark Henry gets momentum, and half admits Cena into the Hall of Pain. But even after a Worlds Strongest Slam, Cena couldn't be kept down for the three count. He fights back and eventually tries to lock an STF on Henry but can't hook the leg. Henry gets back into it but Cena fights out of another Strongest Slam attempt, and with a huge effort, hit the AA on Mark Henry. He gets the pinfall and John Cena doesn't celebrate but says into the camera "Next Week Kane, I want answers!" and he walks up the ramp as Monday Night Raw goes off the air...

- Dragging him back up to his feet, Show hits a chokeslam, but still can only muster a two count.
- Big Show sizing Orton up with the WMD. But when Orton gets to his feet, he ducks the launch of the fist, and quickly connects an RKO and covers him for the win.

Winner via. Pinfall @ 17:31 - Number One Contender to the World Heavyweight Championship - Randy Orton

- Daniel Bryan comes to the top of the ramp and applauds Orton. Orton stares at Bryan, but he gets ambushed by the same man that has had Orton and Barrett previously. He hits him over the head with a metal bar and throws him into the HD tron. Orton runs up for the save but is too late.

Match Three - Natalya vs. Alicia Fox

NatalyaNeidhart.jpg
vs.
AliciaFox-13.jpg

The tron shows Kharma and the car that had just arrived, and a few images flashing of the two. She laughs maniacally before stopping, and throws both of them to the ground, laughing as she leaves.

WadeBarrett4.jpg
vs.
MarkHenry3.jpg

- Wade goes on the offensive straight away, trying desperately to get Henry to his feet. To no avail, as Henry pushes Barrett half the way across the ring to the floor.
- Stomping away, yelling trash about he should be focused on him, not the masked man. "Sexual Chocolate" chants start to fill the arena but Henry ignores.
- Henry lets Wade get up and runs at him, squashing him into the corner, before picking him up for a sidewalk slam. Two count.
-Henry takes his time going up two ropes, and looks to splash Barrett, but he moves out of the way. Wade gets straight to his feet and stomps away at the big man.
- Very unorthadox, maybe knowing his finishers would be useless to try on a man this big, he goes for a sharpshooter, from which Henry goes straight to the ropes.
- Wade stalks Henry and when Mark gets up he goes for a lariat but he gets caught by The Worlds Strongest Man, and sets Wade up for the Worlds Strongest Slam, but as he gets hoisted up, he kicks his leg out, catching the referee square in the head. Henry oblivious to this hits the Slam and goes for the cover but the referee is out.
- Henry tries to wake the ref up, but when he turns around the masked man has made his way to the ring with the steel pipe and clean lays Henry out.

Segment One - John Cena calls out Kane

- John Cena enters the ring and talks about how he has never changed his beliefs. He says Kane is the way he is because he has embraced all his hatred and let it eat at him for years.
- Cena gets interrupted.... by John Laraunitis. He informs John that Kane is not here tonight. But Laraunitis has some Hate he needs to "Rise Above" namely with the WWE Champion CM Punk. "Mr. Excitement" decides that innovation is needed for the first Raw of 2012 and that John Cena was the man to help. He asks John his favorite match-up from the history of the WWE. Cena replies that it will be really hard to beat the Shawn Michaels and Razor Ramon ladder match from Wrestlemania 10. The interim Raw General Manager agrees that it was a great match, and he's given Cena the chance of a lifetime...... by being able to beat that standard, as tonight he is taking on CM Punk in a ladder match. As Del Rio goes for the kick to the face, The Miz, who has thrown Truth into the barricade hard, pulls Zigglers legs causing him to fall, and Del Rio getting tied up in the turnbuckle.

As he hits his hand down for three however, Dolph Ziggler taps out. Match is finished as the referee delivers his verdict. The tron shows both decisions happen the same time.

Winner via. Pinfall - The Miz
AND

- Cody manages to roll out of the ring and leaves up the ramp. As he gets half way up John Laraunitis appears on screen. He tells Rhodes if he walks past the tron and does not go back to the ring, Mason Ryan is the new Intercontinental champion. He turns around and goes back in the ring where Mason hits a huge spinebuster as soon as Rhodes gets in the ring. Trying to leave has cost him as Mason picks up the victory.

Match Three - Tag Match - Sheamus/Gabriel vs. Bryan/Mahal

Sheamus2.jpg
Justin_Gabriel-1-1.jpg
vs.
Daniel_Bryan2.jpg
th_Jinder_Mahal-1.jpg

- Two of the hottest matches from Smackdown combine for a tag match, or what two of the hottest matches should have been, with Daniel Bryan ducking his match with Sheamus.
- Jinder and Sheamus start the match and Sheamus builds up a lot of offense, and Gabriel gets tagged in with Jinder downed.
- Mahal fights back taking advantage of Justin's height and whips Gabriel into the ropes. when he comes back though, a big shoulder barge knocks Jinder down and they are both out.
- Jinder first to crawl to Bryan, but Gabriel makes the tag to Sheamus too. Sheamus hoists Bryan in the air, and scoop-slams him, and then Mahal. Gabriel goes up top and hits a 450 splash on Jinder, and Sheamus is stalking Bryan for the Brogue Kick.
- D-Bry gets up, and ducks the Brogue Kick and goes for the Labelle Lock. He gets Sheamus to the floor but can't lock the hold in and eventually Gabriel kicks Daniel off him. - The referee makes Gabriel leave the ring, and while his back is turned, Bryan boots Sheamus in-between the legs, and then synches the Labelle Lock in tight. Sheamus takes a while but eventually taps out.

Winners via. Submission @ 5:58 - Daniel Bryan & Jinder Mahal

- Daniel Bryan walks off with his World title with Jinder in tow, as Gabriel and Sheamus look disappointed in the ring.

Backstage Segment - John Laraunitis and David Otunga

- Otunga tells John that whatever is behind all these attacks, it needs to stop, or if they get to Punk, it will ruin the blockbuster main event.
- John agrees, so he sends Otunga to be Punk personal bodyguard until the match.
- John jokes it wouldn't be so bad if Punk got a bit of bad medicine.
- Otunga leaves, and Alberto Del Rio and The Miz walk into Johns office. John congratulates them both and says now we got to decide who actually gets the number thirty spot.
- The Miz says he has a much better idea than that, and before he starts explaining, the cameras come back ringside for the next match.

Match Four - Wade Barrett vs. Zack Ryder

WadeBarrett4.jpg
vs.
ZackRyder-6.jpg

- Even after being attacked earlier on in the night, the United States champion has been on a roll recently, but not as much as Barrett, and the step up he has made is evident, as he makes light work of Long Island Iced "Z", hitting the Winds of Change early on.
- Not letting Ryder get any rest, an onslaught by the Barrett Barrage ending with a big Wasteland ends all competition.

Winner via. Pinfall @ 2:06 - Wade Barrett

- Wade gets a microphone and proclaims that the problem at the moment in the WWE is that none of the champions are respected. That is going to change at the Royal Rumble when he becomes the World Heavyweight Champion.
- Randy Ortons music hits, and he comes out with a microphone. He claims that although he has a chance, on the flip-side, he has no chance, because when Ortons in the match, Wade may as well be in the Royal Rumble match itself, because he has more chance of outlast 29 superstars than outlasting Randy Orton.
- The two stare off from ramp to ring and the camera goes backstage.

Backstage Segment - Otunga and Punk

- Ortunga knocks Punks door. No answer. Tries again and no answer. Otunga worries and goes straight in, but Punk is listening to music on his headphones when he walks in. Punk takes his iPod out and asks what he wants.
- Otunga tells Punk the situation and Johns proposal. Punk tells Otunga to deliver a message to Laraunitis. "I'm a big boy now, I can look after myself." the stare from Punk intimidates Otunga to leave.

Justin Roberts Announcement

- Justin regrets to inform the audience that the scheduled Divas title match between Beth Phoenix and Alicia Fox cannot go ahead due to the attack. This match will now take place next week on Raw.
- The Miz' them music hits and him and Alberto come out to the ring. They make fun of the crowd for a while before getting to their message. They tell the world that they have hit the jackpot, and are guaranteeing history at the Royal Rumble. the first time there will be thirty-one superstars, the first time that the number 30 spot will be shared, and the first time the Royal Rumble will have joint winners sharing a spot at Wrestlemania. They vow to win the Royal Rumble together, and then take on the separate champions, and both be the champions, by the time Wrestlemania is over. Theme hits and the go back backstage.
- Cameras show the car very similar to Kharmas car from Smackdown. But, when the camera pans out, the full section of the car park is filled with the very same car, about twenty of them in a square. Then a voice can be heard to turn the camera off, and before the cameraman can turn round a show who said it, he is taken to the floor and the camera is shut off.

Match five - Main event - Ladder Match for the WWE Championship - CM Punk vs. John Cena

- A handshake at the start of the match, before they both go back to their corners. Cena starts off the stronger with his rights and lefts connecting, before he whips Punk and hits a running forearm smash.
- John brings Punk back up to his feet but the champion fights back with kicks making a little distance before a big swinging kick hits Cena at the side of the head. Before he can fall, Punk hooks Cena's arms and hits a double-hook suplex.
- The second city Savior starts to control the match and throws Cena in the corner. One running knee later, and he starts to bring a ladder into play.
- Throwing the ladder in the ring, Cena wakes up and runs against the opposite ropes baseball sliding the ladder into Punk on the return. Cena then follows Punk outside.
- Bashing Punks head against a lot of the barricades, Cena picks him up and drops him onto the right side barricade right by some of the fans, booing Cena. Cena looks at them, before going right back to work.
- Punk laying on the floor, Cena does the "You Can't See Me" sign, and runs to the side of the ring, gets up on the apron, and hits a diving Five Knuckle Shuffle.
- The impact allows Cena to get a ladder into the ring. He sets it up but not in the middle, more to the left of the hanging title belt. Punk makes it back in the ring, and John Cena catches him running, and goes for the Attitude Adjustment. Punk elbows viscous at the face to counter.
- When he drops Punk, Cena kicks him in the sternum and whips Punk into th
e corner. He throws him up onto the top turnbuckle and thinks about a superplex, but Punk counters and makes Cena drop. Cue Randy Savage tribute elbow drop.
- Punk drops the ladder on top of Cena and then runs against the ropes and does a 360 splash onto it, hurting himself in the process. The momentum also takes him out of the ring. With that the lights go out.
- Kanes theme rips trough the arena and when the lights come back on Kane is in the middle of the ring. He grabs Cena up, and Chokeslams him on the ladder, squashing the ladders rungs together. With that, he puts his arms in the air, and throws them down, the fire runs through the turnbuckle corners and the lights go off again.
- Lights back on and Punk is to his feet. He gets in the ring and sees the state of the ladder, so he props that one up in the corner.
- He leaves the ring to get a new ladder, and props that one up in the middle of the ring. He starts to climb and he can see Cena starting to stir.
- He tries to get to the title but he stumbles, and Cenas now getting to his feet. Instead, Punk turns himself around and jumps hitting Cena with a dropkick.
- Punk gets up and sets Cena up for the Go To Sleep. He kicks the ladder down onto the floor that was mutilated by Kane. then he hits the GTS allowing Cena to fall onto the ladder. Punk begins to climb again. He nears the top when the crowd start booing. Punk looks up the ramp and sees Kharma, with the Divas, both tag team, and the United States championships in her arms. Punk pauses as she lays them all down on the ramp, she raises her arms, and drops them. And with that, the lights go out again.
- A montage of all the videos seen in the last few weeks plays, along with sights of the cars, and it gets very manic until it all stops, and the words appear...

"They've Now Arrived"

- Letters start disintegrating of the message until there's only the three initials left.....

"T N A"

- The lights come back on and Cena on the floor, and Punk on the ladder, are surrounded by twenty of TNA's best stars. Kurt Angle makes the first move, kicking the ladder from under CM Punk but Punk jumps off, only into the path of Mr. Anderson, who hits him with a Mic Check.
- The cavalry start coming out for the WWE, but only half of TNA are in the ring, and the rest of the roster follows the WWE out there and they are now being ambushed from both sides.
- Angle, Hardy, Anderson, Samoa Joe and Styles have stayed in the ring, and Hardy goes up and hits Punk with a Twist of Hate, while Angle has climbed up and taken the WWE Championship.
- Samoa Joe grabs a steel chair and starts pounding John Cena with it. TNA are clearly winning the battle with more people here, considering they attacked a fair few to start in the show, and people like Cody Rhodes leaving for his safety, and Del Rio and Miz not showing.
- Cena is taking chair shot after chair shot before Punk starts to move, where he also receives chair shot after shot.
- Sting comes out on stage just as the brawl is nearing its end, and he calls all of his superstars back. Every single TNA superstar leaves with the chambionships, and the lasting image is the destruction of all the superstars, the ring area and even the commentators of the WWE.......
