ULTIMATE WRESTLING SOCIETY
Presented by GardsJr and Andrew Walker
James Taylor and Andrew Walker were two of WWE's backstage personalle, one a road agent and the other a writer, the thing was both didn't know what was truly written into their contracts. The thing was, when writing their contracts, the WWE had looked over one important thing.
You see, usually when WWE are writing a contract, they usually open themselves up with a compensation policy if a member of staff is released earlier than their contract is meant to end. This tended to be a problem when it came to Spring during the usual Spring Cleaning and it reared its ugly head in May 2005.
During the cleaning period, both Andrew Walker and James Taylor were released with over a year left on their contracts, and since they got paid over 100,000 dollars a year, it would end up being their ultimate downfall. This was due to the fact that these two men had the same lawyer, and he was sick of being used. So he did what he wanted to, he wanted the extra money for his clients. Over the night, he typed to no end, to make two identical contracts, identical to their WWE ones, however, he made one difference to the contract.
The original contract would read: "If a staff member is terminated at any time, they shall receive 100% compensation based on their yearly payment."
The edited contract however: "If a staff member is terminated at any time, they shall receive 1000% compensation based on their yearly payment." And due to the rushing through of the contracts, this was signed and dated by both the lawyers of the WWE and Vince McMahon himself.
And than we come back to the present day, where the two men had not received the correct payment, so they took it to court. The court case was short, and while Vince McMahon had the best laywers, he did not have the proof. The court case went in favor of Andrew Walker and James Taylor, and shockingly enough, they received more than they were entitled to. Both received the sum of 10,000,000 which is nice to say, is thanks to their lawyer (granted, he got a massive chunk of each man's settlement.) This sent the WWE Stock tumbling down and it forced them to release both high profile superstars and those that they couldn't market further. Granted, some took lower pay just to be in the company, but others couldn't.
And with this generous amount of Wrestling Talent available, of course, it was just common knowledge that Taylor and Walker would open their own wrestling company. It would not be long before WWE started to climb, so they acted quickly, signing talents left and right to written contracts, while not paying them a massive amount, they managed to grab a few members to add onto the board, such as Kevin Nash, who would take an active role backstage, as well as tossing in money. It was also thanks to sponsors that they could get the superstars wanted. And now, due to the amazing star power and a couple of teaser shows they were granted two TV contracts from the USA Network, just before they were about to sign WWE to a new contract.
And with that, the dreams of Taylor and Walker were about to be realized. It is a glorious story, a story of triumph, a story of a dream being realized. It is the story of the newest Wrestling Company to hit the scene, the beginning of greatness.
