With a press conference scheduled to announce a new partnership between the FOX Network and the UFC, Spike TV also made an announcement that The Ultimate Fighter 14 will be the last that airs on the network.
In an email sent out yesterday, Spike stated ““The Ultimate Fighter†season 14 in September will be our last. We are increasing our commitment to distinctive, original series that we own such as “Auction Hunters†and “Bar Rescue†which are delivering on our goal to reach a broader audience. Our 6-year partnership with the UFC has been incredibly beneficial in building both our brands, and we wish them all the best in the future.”
Season 14 of The Ultimate Fighter begins in September and features Jason “Mayhem” Miller and TUF 3 winner Michael Bisping as coaches.
The finale of the first season featured the much talked about Forrest Griffin and Stephan Bonnar fight that many call the greatest UFC fight of all time and helped play a significant part in turning the UFC into what it is today.
