The Ultimate Fighter: Team Liddell vs. Team Ortiz Franklin

Currently the season is up to the semi-final stage. So far I have only seen up to episode 8 so I haven't yet witnessed the drama of episode 9 with Ortiz ending up quiting after it all. It was a shame that Nick Ring had to leave because of his knee injury since he looked the goods and was the favourite to win it all.

Has anyone been following this? Who do you think will win?

Well the show is over and the finalists have been determined. Court McGee will face Kris McCray to win The Ultimate Fighter 11.

Main Card
Light Heavyweight bout: Matt Hamill vs. Keith Jardine
Middleweight bout: Court McGee vs. Kris McCray
Middleweight bout: Chris Leben vs. Aaron Simpson
Lightweight bout: Spencer Fisher vs. Dennis Siver
Middleweight bout: Jamie Yager vs. Rich Attonito

Preliminary Card
Lightweight bout: John Gunderson vs. Mark Holst
Middleweight bout: Brad Tavares vs. Seth Baczynski
Middleweight bout: Kyle Noke vs. Josh Bryant
Middleweight bout: James Hammortree vs. Chris Camozzi
Heavyweight bout: James McSweeney vs. Travis Browne

Seems like an alright card for a live finale. Besides the TUF finale match, the mainevent looks good with Hamill against Jardine. Hamill has a good record in the UFC but hasn't faced many big names whereas Jardine has faced some tough opposition but is 1-4 in his last five fights. Chris Leben is always entertaining and I like James McSweeney as a fighter so that will be good to see.

Court McGee ended up winning the fight and the contract via submission (rear naked choke) at 3:41 of round 2.

Matt Hamill defeated Jardine by majority decision and after the fight Jardine was actually cut by UFC since his record is very poor.

Chris Leben fought and won on the show and has to fight again in two weeks on UFC 116 against Yoshihiro Akiyama. It will be tough to fight twice in a fortnight but he did win this fight easily so shouldn't be too banged up.
