The aim of the game is to create the ultimate fantasy band, based on who you think would just gel well musically and in a live concert. So, here's how it goes:
Some people sign up (looking for about 8 really). The 8 participants then alternate in a 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 (you get the idea) sequence, picking a member for their band each time. Obviously nobody can pick someone who is in another members band. The maximum number of people you can have in your band is 6, although if you really don't want that many you can just have 2, 3, 4 or 5. Once all that is said and done, each person gives their band a name and writes out a short description of their band and explain how they all work together, the kind of music they'd make, what the set would sound like and any other little bits you think necessary. The voting will then commence and we'll find out who has created The Ultimate Band.
Instument Limits
Lead Vocals: Only One, who can also play an instrument
Back-Up Vocals: As many as you like
Lead Guitar: No more than 2 Lead OR 2 Rhythm. Basically max of 3 without using all three on a certain type.
Drums/Percussion: Only one.
Bass: Only one.
Other Instruments: One (Keyboards/Piano count as the same instrument)
Things to keep in mind when picking your band...
Include a picture and a little bit about why you picked them. Helps give the voters some more insight.
You don't HAVE to pick 6 guys, or even the whole line-up of instrument listed above. If you want Lead Guitar/Vocalist, Bass and Drums go for it.
Try not to overload your band. You have the option of 2 lead guitars, but is it necessary for your band?
Band members can only play instruments they actually play. So no putting John Lennon on Tuba or Britney Spears on Drums.
You have 24 hours to make your pick. Miss the deadline and the next member goes, although you'll resume picking when your turn comes around again.
If you're inactive for over a week with no explanation, you're out.
Please post when you're finished constructing your band.
PM the next person to pick so they know when they can post.
