Okay...so...wishful thinking time again as I lay out the Top 10 Wrestlemania 33 Booking Choices I'd like
to see...and you all get to laugh at me because of how optimistic I am. Sound good? No...well too bad...
cause I'm doing it.
And here I go...
1). Bayley Retains:
The RAW women's title has been passed around more than Paige was backstage in NXT and it needs to
stop. While my heart and soul hopes Sasha takes a chair and wraps it around Bayley's head and makes her
tap out (and Izzy cry) my brain knows the RAW women's title needs to be stabilized and the best way to
do that is to leave Bayley as the Champion till at least SummerSlam. Now granted if they are going to keep
the belt on Bayley she needs to start winning matches regularly and cleanly...but if that happens it will
be all the better for the division as a whole.
2). Emma Returns with a Bang:
The RAW women's division needs a comic style reboot and I can think of no better way to start that reboot
than to bring Emma back and have feud her with Charlotte. With Charlotte taking part in a Four way elimination
match with No DQ's...having Emma & Dana come in through the crowd and attack Charlotte (possibly putting her
through an announce table) would eliminate Charlotte from the match and plant the seed for a feud with the
beautiful Aussie brawler. After her amazing 2016 Charlotte needs to take a step back away from the title picture
and help the RAW women's division develop.
3). Becky Lynch Has Her Wrestlemania Moment:
While I understand the fairy tale story has been laid out perfectly for Naomi...I want the Irish Lass Kicker
to win the belt for the second time and have her own Wrestlemania moment. Both Becky & Sasha were
involved in that "dusty" finish at Wrestlemania 32 and frankly...I'm still kind of pissed about it...and WWE
can somewhat redeem itself in my eyes by giving Becky her own moment to shine on the biggest stage
possible.
4). Neville Retains:
There isn't really much I can say about this one. I'm a huge fan of Neville and his work since turning heel
has been excellent. Austin Aries is also a top level performer with a tonne of charisma...but...for the benefit
of the title and the entire Cruiserweight division Neville needs to remain Champion for as long as possible.
I want a 500+ Day reign for King Neville.
5). A Hardys Return Teaser:
I don't expect the Broken Hardys to show up in person (while that would be awesome) but a possible teaser of their
return would be exciting and help keep ratings up for the following RAW & SmackDown. It would be as simple as flying
a drone around the arena a few times during the show...and those "in the know" would understand what the drone
would signify.
6). Corbin Claims the Intercontinental Title:
While I respect Dean Ambrose as a performer...he has done nothing with the IC title and as you all know...I'm a
big advocate for the WWE pushing its new/younger talent. Baron Corbin has been on a steady and measured climb up
the SmackDown card and giving the Lone Wolf the IC belt would be the next logical step. If the writers aren't going to give it to Corbin...then give it back to the Miz.
7). The Wyatt Era Continues:
As you all know by now...Bray Wyatt is my favorite male performer in the WWE and I like many were delighted to
see Bray reach the top of the mountain at the Elimination Chamber...but...all that rebuilding could be burned to
the ground by a single RKO at Wretlemania. I know Randy Orton is a legendary performer in his own right...but for
the betterment of Wyatt and the future of the WWE...the viper must be defanged by a Sister Abigail this Sunday.
8). Strowman Stands Tall:
Braun Strowman has been the only new star developed on RAW since the brand split and while his monster push has
been excellent to watch (Seriously...even I like the guy now)...he recently hit a snag by simply being booked in a match
with the only wrestler Vince gives a shit about. Rumor has it that Strowman will be feuding with Vince's pet project
again after Mania so he's going to need every win he can get. Strowman is the only logical choice to win the ATGMBR.
9). Cena Pops The Question:
Now I truly am a romantic at heart and I honestly think John Cena will never find a woman as perfect for him as Nikki
Bella. Win or lose...hopefully Cena will get down on one knee after the mixed tag match and pop the question to the
beautiful Bella.
10). Goldberg & Lesnar Have A "Great" Match:
While I personally care more about what Maryse will be wearing than this match...I hope for those who at the arena
and those watching at home that these 2 legends actually put on a great match that lives up to the hype and build.
And there you have it...what I most want to see at Wrestlemania 33.
Will I be a happy man by the end of the night? or will I be spitting venom like a cobra come Monday morning?
I guess only time will tell.
