There was a prior trademark application done by Ricky back in 2009 that was abandoned. On the same day, Richard H. Blood III (NXT's Richie Steamboat) applied to trademark "Richie Steamboat."

She got the name originally in the divorce (thus why Ricky couldn't work under the name for a while) but WWE bought it off of her for his Wrestlemania return.

Agreed, I don't understand how the wives of some of these wrestlers can be so brutal. The amount of work these guys do is tough and for some housewife to just take it bothers me
