Scholes, didn't want to go did he? Also where does Carrick fit? Parker gives the dogged approach which was needed and Gerrard played the role better than Carrick would have, always found him to be too crab like tbh. Unless you drop Jones / Henderson and have Michael as a squad player.

Scholes was never asked I don't think. Carrick fits easily in a 4-3-3 which we should be playing.
