THE SMARKS REBOOT WRESTLING
A project that is just for fun, where we use the RWC mod in TEW IX to reboot the wrestling world with new rosters and company identities, and see how the game evolves from there.
This will be the draft thread. I don't really want to make any rigid rules regarding the draft, since this isn't meant to be competitive anyways, so just some basics:
A project that is just for fun, where we use the RWC mod in TEW IX to reboot the wrestling world with new rosters and company identities, and see how the game evolves from there.
This will be the draft thread. I don't really want to make any rigid rules regarding the draft, since this isn't meant to be competitive anyways, so just some basics:
- Serpentine order draft, so whoever drafted last in one round, drafts first in the next.
- For the first undetermined number of rounds, you get just 1 pick. As we move into later rounds, we may likely consider increasing the number of picks per round.
- Each pick is good for just one worker, so no tag teams or managers drafted together.
- Keep in mind this draft isn't just for the wrestlers, and you can also draft announcers, managers, authority figures, road agents and referees if you really want to.
- No one is obligated to have a women's division, or a men's division for that matter. Choose whatever you feel. Also bear in mind that you can make your product intergender if that makes any difference.
- I don't ultimately have a set number of rounds in mind. If at any point anyone just gets tired of drafting, they are free to quit and I'll fill the roster out as needed once the draft is over. Similarly, if you don't draft any/enough staff members, I'll still make sure to fill that out.
- For the first round, we will be choosing both our company and the company's owner. Choose any active company and any owner you see fit. Ideally, someone who is definitely in the game (ie Tony Khan, Triple H, Paul Heyman) but if you really want to choose an outsider potentially not in the game (ie Mark Cuban, Shaq) then I'll probably be willing to accommodate. Just to reiterate, the bigger real life companies will start this game off bigger, but smaller ones will be balanced to make them hypothetically competitive.
- Second round is when we start drafting workers, and it should be good to go from there. Would be great if everyone kept a list of their own rosters and maybe even spoiler tagged them after they picked, but that may get a little clunky too. We can just try our best to keep shit on track but it ain't that crucial.
