Kind of a shock. There's also no proof that he's the culprit as of yet (it doesn't say that his children witnessed the crime and/or that he confessed to it), but he's being treated as the main suspect at the moment. It'll be interesting to see what the other cast and crew members have to say about this if he ends up copping to it.
On a slightly different note, The Shield is an awesome and underrated television show. If you haven't seen it, I suggest immediately putting it on your list of things to watch.
