Okay. So what happened is months ago the idea for the Showdown of Dreams was born and we were all hyped for it. Very hyped for it. The card was made and it was to be me reprising my role as The Rock one last time vs. CWalker reprising his role as The Pope in his last wrestling match. We went at it and mannnn that was just too fun and awesome. Encourage anybody that hasn't looked at the thread to check it out. That was some real awesome Trash talks there. Well anyways what wound up happening is well... plenty of stuff went down or I dunno but we never got a show. Never got a match. And I for one felt that this match deserved a match. And so I spent a while, and... I decided to write the match myself and... here it is. Not sure if it'll live up to the hype that the match would have had but I at least wanted there to be a match for this epic encounter. So without further adieu... Showdown of Dreams main event: The Rock vs. "The Pope" D'Angelo Dinero.
The bell rings three times as Howard Finkel stands in the middle of the ring.
The Fink: Attention Ladies and Gentlemen. This is the main event of the evening. The following contest is set for one fall with no time limit. Introducing first, he is a former two time UCW champion, one time UCW Global Champion, one time UCW United States Champion, and the 2011 UCW Money in the Bank winner. This is… THE POPE! D’ANGELOOOOOOOOOO! DIIIIIIIINERRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOO!
Aaahhh!!!

The funky bass of "Catholi-Funk" begins pumping over the PA System and throughout the entire arena. Fans turn their attention towards the stage and cheer as it fills up with a gray smoke. Soon enough, walking through that smoke is the one and only "Pope" D'Angelo Dinero. Dinero is nothing but smiles, wearing his black trenchcoat, along with his traditional black wrestling trunks. He takes his time walking down to the ring as there is not a fan sitting down as they have been awaiting this match forever and now with The Pope walking down they know it is finally going to happen. Pope makes his way down to the ring and walks up the steps. He enters the ring as the cheers are still thunderous. As he starts to head to his corner The Fink returns to the center of the ring.
The Fink: And his opponent. This man is a former two time UCW champion, one time world heavyweight champion, one time ECW/WCW champion, and a two time UCW hardcore champion. He hails from Miami Florida and a UCW Hall of Fame inductee. Introducing… THEEEEEEEEE ROCK!
The lights go completely out in the arena again and as the tron turns on we see the familiar titantron. The titantron of the skyline and while it is playing a “Rocky†chant begins to stir inside of the arena.

The lights give off a blue aura as The Rock marches out from the back as the fans are still on their feet cheering as loud as they can as The Rock stops at the top of the stage looking over the fans inside Madison Square Garden. He then directs his gaze at Dinero as he makes his way down the ramp and towards the steps. He walks along the ring apron and climbs the second rope and raises his arm. He lowers it and enters the ring. He walks to the opposite corner and climbs the second rope and raises his arm again as the fans continue cheering wildly. The Rock gets down and goes to the corner opposite Dinero as he has his trench coat off and is ready for action.
Howard Finkel exits the ring as the ref stands in the middle. He motions towards The Rock asking if he is ready and The Rock nods. He motions towards Dinero and asks if he is ready and Dinero is rubbing his hands together and nods as the ref motions towards the time keeper to ring the bell.
DING DING
Ross: This is it. This is what we have been waiting for. This is finally happening and it is going to be a slobberknocker.
King: We have The Rock representing the earlier days of UCW and Dinero representing the new era of UCW. Both of them lead their respected eras and now the two will finally clash. How their egos hasn’t demolished this arena is beyond me.
Ross: Behave King.
The Rock and Dinero slowly approach the center of the ring. The Rock running his mouth as Dinero is not one to back down and never short of words also continues to mouth back to the Rock. As this continues their foreheads clash with each other. The words haven’t slowed down as you can hear the rumbling of feet stamping in the arena. And then it happens… Dinero backs up and delivers a Pimp Slap to The Rock. The Rock staggers back clutching at his jaw as the fans let out a collective “OHHHHHHHâ€
Ross: And the first shot has been fired.
The Rock walks up to Dinero and slaps him across the face. As Dinero takes the shot he smiles as he returns with a fist to the face of The Rock. The Rock returns the fist with one of his own and the two engage in a slugfest throwing punch after punch at each other. With Pope having the better hands manages to get the upper hand in the punching exchange and finally delivers a punch that sends the Rock down to the mat but The Rock gets right back up and then Dinero kicks Rock in the midsection and puts him in a headlock. The Rock being quick gives Dinero a couple of stiff forearm shots to the ribs as he backs him up against the ropes. He sends Dinero off and on the rebound he runs into a shoulder block from The Rock that sends Dinero down to the mat. The Rock goes for a quick elbow drop but Dinero rolled out of the way and back up to his feet as The Rock gets back up to his feet.
King: These two seem almost evenly matched.
Ross: Well when you have two leaders of their eras colliding you know they have to be at the top of their game.
They engage in an arm and collar tie up with this time The Rock gaining the advantage with the headlock and flips Dinero over onto his back keeping the head clinched tight. Dinero starts to work back up to his feet and this time he delivers a couple of solid punches to The Rock’s ribs backing The Rock against the ropes. He uses his might and sends The Rock against the ropes and Dinero drops down to the mat as The Rock runs over him and rebounds off the ropes again as Dinero leap frogs over The Rock and upon another rebound The Rock is met with a dropkick to the face courtesy of Dinero that sends The Rock down to the mat. Dinero drops down for a quick pin but The Rock kicks out before the ref even makes it to his knees for a one count. Dinero backs up against the ropes as The Rock gets to his feet. As soon as The Rock made it to his feet Dinero rushed at him and delivered a wicked clothesline sending The Rock back down to the canvas. Dinero gets down and mounts The Rock. He picks up The Rock’s head and starts throwing punches right at his head. After a few punches he gets up and pulls The Rock up and shoves him into the corner. Dinero raises his arm and delivers a hard chop to the chest of The Rock. The sound echoes as the crowd lets out a “WOOOOOOO!†The Rock clutches at his chest as Dinero readies himself and delivers a second one and then a third one. The Rock’s chest is starting to turn red as Dinero scoops up The Rock for a body slam but gets his feet locked up around the top rope leaving The Rock dangling on the tree of woe. Dinero backs up towards the opposite corner sizing up The Rock before running full speed and leaving his feet connecting with both of his boots to The Rock’s face as his momentum sends Dinero also sliding out of the ring under the bottom rope as The Rock’s feet become untangled and his body falls over and he lies flat on his stomach after the impact.
Ross: The impact of that kick… The Rock has to be out cold after that.
King: We’ve seen him take some vicious hits over the years but that has to almost top the list.
Dinero rolls back inside the ring and rolls The Rock over on his stomach as he hooks the near leg and goes for a pin.
One…
Two…
Rock reaches out and grabs the bottom rope causing the count to stop. Dinero gets up to his feet and stomps on The Rock’s arm before getting in the face of the ref about the questionable slow count. He then directs his attention back to The Rock as he reaches down and pulls him up to his feet as The Rock appears to still be groggy. Dinero goes for a punch but Rock ducks it but traps his arm under Dinero’s neck, places his free hand on his back and lifts him up and drops him with a Rock Bottom.
Ross: Can you believe it King? Rock looked out of it but out of nowhere he delivers.
King: You can’t ever count The Rock out but he definitely cheated.
The Rock falls over on Dinero and goes for the pin.
One…

Kick out by Dinero at the last second. The Rock pulls Dinero towards the middle of the ring and grabs his ankles. He places one leg in-between Dinero’s towards his side, he crosses Dinero’s legs and steps over him placing Dinero in a sharpshooter. The pain starts to shoot through Dinero’s back as Rock pulls back with all of his might. The ref is in Dinero’s face asking if he wants to quit but every time Dinero furiously shakes his head no.
Ross: There is no way Dinero is going to quit.
King: But it would be in his best interest. No way he is going to be able to escape this.
Dinero forces himself up on his forearms and starts trying to muscle himself towards the ropes pulling The Rock slowly along the way. After much effort is exerted he finally reaches the ropes as the fans light up in cheers knowing this match is going to continue. The ref goes towards Rock and tells him to release the hold but The Rock continues to hold on and so the ref starts his count.

Rock lets go at the very last second and walks right up into the referee’s face as the ref is telling The Rock that he was about to disqualify him for holding on for too long. The Rock looks like he is about to hit the ref but instead winds up flying out of the ring to the floor as Dinero got a hold of his trunks and pulled him out of the ring. Dinero follows after him and the ref decides to be lenient and not start a count. Dinero still grabbing at his back some picks up Rock and irish whips him back first into the steel steps as the top half of the steps are knocked off and to the floor as the Rock is writhing in agony on the floor. Dinero walks towards the time keeper table and grabs the mic.
"Pope" D'Angelo Dinero
Oh My Congregation!
The crowd gives a loud cheer for the trademark line
Pope goin do what Pope said he was goin do. Not only bring tha fight to tha guy but kick tha guy ass.
Dinero puts the mic down on the announcer table and starts to walk back towards The Rock. As he goes around the corner he is met by a clothesline by The Rock. He picks him up and delivers a suplex on the hard floor. The Rock reaches for the mic on the announce table as Dinero is now down on the floor.
The Rock:
So this jabroni thought he was going to kick The Rock’s ass? This roody poo is nothing compared to The Rock. Just a chump.
The Rock stands over Dinero as he is still on his back after the suplex.
The Rock:
What you goin to do now bi…aahhhhhhh
Rock falls over as Dinero delivered a straight jab to The Rock’s lower regions causing The Rock to crumple over. Dinero pulls himself up to his feet and grabs the mic that The Rock was holding. Instead of speaking this time he throws it at The Rock’s face before turning his attention to the announce table. He flips up the cover of the announce table and removes the monitors before picking up The Rock and rolling him on the table. King and Ross step out of their seats and away from the table not wanting to be a part of whatever is about to happen. Dinero returns to the ring, climbs up to the apron, and then to the top turnbuckle looking down at the prone body of The Rock. He takes a deep breath and leaps. Looking to connect with a giant elbow drop he does as The Rock and Dinero go through the announce table as it almost explodes from the force of the impact leaving both men down and the arena up on their feet with two words.
Crowd: HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT!
Ross: CAN YOU BELIEVE IT KING! DINERO JUST PUT HIS LIFE ON THE LINE THERE!
King: I’m still in shock J.R. I can’t remember the first time I even seen Dinero attempt a move like that.
Ross: These two are looking to do whatever it takes to each other. This match is as big as they come.
The ref comes out to the floor to look over both starts as they are finally starting to stir. The ref returns to the ring as Dinero starts to pull himself up to his feet first as Rock is starting to roll over to his stomach and pick himself up. Dinero gets to his feet first still feeling the effects of the impact as he gets Rock up and rolls him into the ring. Dinero follows in after him as The Rock starts to stir. As Dinero starts to get to his feet The Rock quickly gets up, grabs a hold of Dinero’s neck and drops him with a DDT and falls back down on his back as now both stars are down on their back. After a few more moments pass The Rock nips up to his feet and smells the air in his usual cocky way as he has his second wind hit him. He picks up Dinero and irish whips him as Rock starts to get closer to the center of the ring and as Dinero rebounds he is caught by The Rock and lifted up before being dropped with a spinebuster as The Rock walks around to Dinero’s head and kicks his arm looking over the crowd as they start to chant his name.
King: It is about to be over JR. The most electrifying move in sports entertainment.
Ross: So long since we’ve seen this move.
The Rock removes his elbow pad and tosses it into the crowd as he makes the motion and runs towards the ropes. He rebounds, leaps over Dinero, and rebounds off the ropes again and he delivers the People’s Elbow on Dinero much to the delight of the fans as he drops down and pins him.
One…

Thre…
Kickout by Dinero at the latest possible second as The Rock sits next to Dinero with a look of shock and frustration. He gets up to his feet and gets in position, stalking Dinero looking to deliver another Rock Bottom. Dinero starts to stir to his feet still groggy and as he turns around he is met by The Rock with his arm underneath his neck again. The Rock lifts him up but Dinero wraps his arm under The Rock’s neck and locks it tight as The Rock falls forward looking to deliver a Rock bottom but instead The Rock’s head hits the mat as Dinero reversed it into a DDT but keeps his hands locked together trying to choke The Rock out with a guillotine choke.
Ross: Have you ever seen The Rock Bottom countered like that?
King: First time for everything JR and this was as best a counter as ever seen.
The Rock is flailing as Dinero has the choke cinched in very tightly as he is gritting his teeth trying to choke The Rock out. The Rock starts flailing a little less and less as Dinero’s submission is really starting to sink in. Soon The Rock’s arms aren’t moving as the ref reaches for The Rock’s hand and raises it and it falls as the ref holds up a one. He does it again and the same result happens so the ref motions for a two. The ref holds up one more time and then releases it and The Rock’s hand is falling like a meteor but before it collides with the ring it stops. The Rock turns his hand into a fist and pounds the mat as he now has both hands on the mat on his knees as he pushes himself up and down as Dinero’s back hits the mat. He does it a second time, a third time and the grip starts to loosen up and then a fourth time as his head finally escapes from Dinero’s grip. The Rock is pretty out of it after having the life nearly choked out of him. Dinero is feeling the second wind kick in him as he scoops a groggy Rock up to his feet and sends him running into the corner. Dinero runs after him delivering a vicious clothesline that lifts the Rock off of his feet and slumps down in the corner. Dinero pulls The Rock out a little bit laying him down on the mat. He backs up a ways before running towards the corner grabbing on to the top rope and lifts himself up into a headstand on the top turnbuckle. He holds himself up for a second before descending from his perch and dropping an elbow on The Rock. Dinero looking very pleased with himself right now.
Ross: The Outer Limitz Elbow.
King: Nobody does it better and it looks like he is readying himself to finish this match.
Dinero picks Rock up to his feet and pushes him into the corner. Dinero trots to the opposite corner and lowers his knee pads. He runs full speed towards The Rock and leaves his feet connecting both knees into the back of The Rock. The Rock falls down to the mat as Dinero starts to pull The Rock out from the corner.
Ross: DDE! DDE! He just hit Rock with the DDE!
King: I know we’ve said it all match long but this has to be it. How much more abuse can one person take?
Dinero pulls him to the center of the ring and rolls him over on his back. Dinero still catching his breath falls on top of The Rock for a pin as the referee gets in position for the count.
ONE!
TWO!
THREE! NO!
The Rock got his shoulder up at the last possible nanosecond to keep the match going. Dinero is beyond in disbelief. He looks down at The Rock like he just isn’t sure what to do to end this match so he goes down for a second pin attempt.
ONE!
TWO!
THR!
Kickout by The Rock again except with a little more authority than before. Dinero is obviously frustrated right now as he yanks The Rock up from the mat and as soon as The Rock is up to his feet he gets his arm right under Dinero’s neck and lifts him up and connects with a Rock Bottom and falls on him for an immediate cover.
ONE!
TWO!
THRE!
Dinero gets the shoulder up as The Rock is still trying to catch his breath trying to get to his feet.
Crowd: THIS IS AWESOME! *clap, clap, clap clap clap* THIS IS AWESOME!
Ross: I have to agree with the fans. This is indeed an awesome match.
King: I hope this match never ends. This is why this match was considered a dream.
Ross: Two eras meeting in one hell of a match.
The Rock gets up to his feet and readies himself as Dinero is struggling to get up to his feet. As soon as he turns around The Rock catches him in position for another Rock Bottom. He takes a deep breath before lifting him up and delivering another thunderous Rock Bottom as the crowd has let out a collective gasp and count with the ref.
ONE!
TWO!
THREE!
BUT Dinero shot his arm up with a nanosecond much like The Rock did earlier and The Rock falls over on his side and pounds the mat as the fans lose their minds cheering and stamping almost causing Madison Square Garden to shake. The Rock picks himself up and reaches down to pick up Dinero. Rock looks to irish whip Dinero into the corner but Dinero reverses it and sends The Rock back first into the corner. Dinero goes over to the corner and hoists him up to the top looking to deliver a superplex. Dinero climbs up and stands on the top rope balancing himself carefully with The Rock as The Rock now has himself balanced as well on the top with his back foot pressed firmly against the ring post. As Dinero looks to get the suplex, Rock hits Dinero in the midsection and with the slight hesitation he gets in position for a Rock Bottom from the top rope and before balance can be lost he lifts Dinero up and falls forward and the two crash to the mat hard as even the ref jumps back from the impact.
Crowd: HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT!
Ross: BAH GAWD! THEY MAY BOTH BE BROKEN!
King: This isn’t proper but… HOLY SHIT!
Ross: My sentiments exactly King. What a SLOBBERKNOCKER!
Both men are barely moving but Rock manages to drape an arm over the chest of Dinero as the ref drops down for the count.
ONE!
TWO!
THREE!
The ref gets up and motions to ring the bell as this historic match has finally come to an end. The Rock has rolled off of Dinero and the two of them are laying down on their backs as the ref reaches down and raises The Rock’s hand.
The Fink: The winner of the match. THEEEEEE ROOOOOOOOOOCK!
Ross: BAH GAWD! WHAT A MATCH! WHAT A MATCH! WHAT! A! MATCH! These two left it all in the ring King. Left everything in the ring.
King: And it took a Rock Bottom from the top rope to end it? That was something we never seen The Rock do before in his career. These two did everything and then some to each other. All for the fans.
Ross: That is right. This was a showdown that was always dreamt of but the fans never thought they would see it happen. Now they can say… they have. And it has been beyond a privilege to call this match.
King: My thoughts exactly JR.
The Rock’s Hollywood theme starts to play as the two men are finally starting to stir as the fans are standing to their feet applauding the awesome match that they have just witnessed. The ref has left the ring leaving the two men to stir around and manage to finally pull themselves up to their feet. Both of them sore, beat up, bruised, and battered they look at each other as The Rock extends his hand. Dinero accepts and shakes The Rock’s hand and the two embrace in a hug as the fans are beside themselves.
Crowd: ONE MORE MATCH! ONE MORE MATCH! ONE MORE MATCH! ONE MORE MATCH!
The two of them look at each other and then towards the crowd and almost laugh a little knowing it hurts to laugh as they shake their heads. The Rock grabs hold of Dinero’s wrist and raises his arm. The Rock lets go and goes to a corner as Dinero goes to a different corner and they both raise an arm for the fans in attendance as they continue cheering very loudly. They hop down and return to the middle of the ring and they raise each other’s arms as the final thing seen before the show fades to black.

One…
Two…
