Welcome to the first everedition of MikeRaw's "The Raw Truth"...Each week I will offer my insight,even if it is not to your liking,so that you can see the Raw Truth of the WWE!
Lets start things off with the eature entitled Review the show.....
We will start off with last weeks ECW up until this weeks Raw!
ECW:This show had an old school feel to it.I personally,as many of you did,enjyed this as the upsides were huge......
We had the Thorn/Dreamer match...Average ECW match with some good action at points and all.....Afterwards we had that little attack by Thorn in classic ECW fashion but oh well it was ok.
The Punk/urke match served its purpose as wel...We all know of the Marcus Cor Von thing and how Punk took his spot in the match and the match was great.This one was a good rematch for these two old rivals.It could have been betterbut did the job and ended with Punk hitting the GTS!
Big Daddy V had his next match....BULLSHIT!This match was dumb...10 seconds atthe most and had no point...I wont waste my time on this
We have the now famousJohn Morrison "event".This lived up to what it said it would do.They said it would "Change the face of ECW'and well...It did.They're champion is expected to carry the show and now he can.I remember people saying on the night of Vengeance that they couldnt believe Nitro won and it was bad and sickening.They then complained he didnt have what he took to lead the show....I thought the gimmick worked for him but this has the IT factor about it that makes me not feel so bad about him being champion.I like it now and to top it all off he cut one of the best promos of recent memory,followed by a viscious attack of CM Punk....Dont get me wrong,I love Punk,but this was just entertainment man!
VERDICT:Success.....The whole show built up to the ending with Morrison and that delivered....The two match (other than Big V's) were both decent no real complaints.The show served the purpose of changing the face for ECW with John Morrison!
SmackDown:Pretty good show....Read my review to see more
This show was shocking of course with Edges announcement...I think they pulled that off well with Edge showing all the emotion and anger building up to his outburst.Also the handing over of the title was done good by him and long with Long laying down the law sort of as Edge struggled to hand it over....This part definately got a crowd reaction which was what it was supposed to do!
The divas match was a piecce of crap in my opinion.Sure the match was ok,but you hear somethign like what we had just heard about the title and then we move to a divas match?Well thats what happens but a decent match....
The 20 man battle royal was great.I honestly expected it to be maybe 5 minutes but I believe it was over half an hour and nearing 40 minutes.....I t was realistic with the twists and turns and also hd its share of funny moments...Like Kan/Batista taking out Noble andeveryone attempting to get Henry out...Now the match was pretty good and of course in the end Khali won!Now I know many of you are outraged but I think it was the right thing to do...Ill explain why later...
Of course near the end of the night we would find out the number one contender.Now this match was supposed to be Batista vs Kane and it was...Sort of!The whole match I knew Khali would come out and it was just a matter of when....The match was quite good...Now Khali of course came out and attacked but the that was ok because without that SD would have looked like a mess....You had to put those two in the GAB match because if you didnt you couldnt justify it...Batista was set to face Khali after signing the contract and Kane was number one contender.It was the only thing to do.
VERDICT:Flop!I kow I had positive things to say about the show but I found it hard to stay interested...I look for more from Smackdown nowadays after recent shows but this one was doinated by Khali...Thats a nono!
Raw:This will close out the review sectiobn for today and this was a great show...
The show had a great little opening between the two kings...I loved the table and I liked how Bookers end had all the luxurys(tables,big chair,wine fruit) and Jeromes was complete with half a doughnut,stool and water.....It was great and added some spice to the feud
Raw always has to include the divas tag match...This one wasnt too bad and I was amused with Santino on commentary.The match was decent and dicnt take up too much time which is good....
The snitsky promo was of course one of my hated moments as you will see below in my monsters rant so Ill skip this entirley...
The Carlito/Sandman tag match was decent at best.It was more just to end off the feud and start up the Lashley/Carlito program...I dont have any big complains about the Carlito/Lashley as it wasnt just a match followed by a feud.It has something now that can give it some cred with the little apple incident....Good enough for me
We were treated later to another Legend Killersegment where he first dismantled Cody in a good sound match...I dig this whole brutal Orton thing.He is almost a monster heel in his visciousness but can still pull it off without being like Khali and not being able to move and having squash matches.....He looked like an eveil,merciless dude and was great especially at the end with the attack...really proved hes number one contender material....
The next too matches did their purpose with average matches searching for the number one contender....Jeff/Kennedy was alright for the time it was given and glad Jeff won even though Im a huge Kennedy fan...The tag match was barely good enough to be mentioned but Ill just say it was ok
The main event was actually not as bad as I thought it would be....I thought it would be horrible but they managed to pull it off and the ending with Jeff was great.I was glad to seee Hardy snap and the rKO on Cena capped off the night....
VERDICT:Success!This Raw had everything and was one of the best this year.Before hand I thought it was doomed to suck but now it was one of the greats....I was into it all night so in my opinion it was a success....

What is Outraging Mike Raw?
WWE Fans-I dont get it...I admit it!I do not understand!It seems that alot of us contradict ourselfs on out opinions all the time.I have said this alot around the forum lately but my prime example is the attitude era....You fans,including me,want it back.Well sort of.It was a great time for wrestling but if they did it again we call it rip offs...We saw that with the death angle...You all said,"Oh this isnt right...not cool..They cant do this"...Well they can!...And they did!Fans would have loved that back in the attitude era and thats what you guys wanted back...You got it...But you didnt want it anymore....
ECW Thoughts-This is a great show...Why is it still considere the C show?Now Raw will always be the A show even if it had no audience...Its just how WWE thinks.Thats fine because of its history and prestige.But ECW may be considered the C show but it isnt acting like it.....This show has some of the best talent in WWE who go out there in the span of one hour and give it all they have.I saw CM Punk saying somewhere he thinks it';s the bes brand...I cant 100 percent agree with that because its not but it definately deserves more recognition then it gets.For a one hour show,it manages to create some great shows and the feuds are usually pretty good.It is responsible for making alot of the guys stars who otherwise would be pushed under the jobbing line on Raw or Smackdown...Alot of fans agree with me but alot still think of it as trash....I disagree with those people.This product is the future!
Monsters-All of these huge guys in WWE like Snitsky,Khali,big V and Mark henry are litterally the biggest guys size wise in the compant...Now they are brought across as huge mean guys but to me they look like nice guys.....Well on the serious note,they are put in their matches to gain cred as a monster.But hy is it that they are in squash matches against Eugene,jobbers and nobodies?This is supposed to make them look tough?WWE has always thought that a big man ending a no name in 30 seconds is impressive but let them try ending Batista,Kane,Taker or Edge in 30 seconds!It wouldnt happen......WWE LISTEN UP!MONSTERS ARENT SCARY WHEN THEY DELIVER A BIG BOOT TO EUGENE.....I hope I made my point!
Mr.McMahonIve heard,as many have,that Mr.McMahon has been a little mad as of late...BooHoo!I do not understand this man...The man is a genius and single handedly made wrestling what we know today.So yet he is angered and outbursting at staff members backstage for lack of ratings.Well if he has better ideas I encourage him to sit his ass down on the creative team and give them to us....I didnt think Id find myself defending the WWE product as of late but hell...I am!Mr.McMahon is a fanatic for big monsters and makes sure they receive pushed yet when they do,and ratings go down...He blames the team.Get your head straight Vinnie Mac!
Khali Haters?-Hate me for this if you want but here it goes......PUTTING THE TITLE ON KHALI WAS THE RIGHT THING TO DO.....Because here is a 7 foot tall punjabi dude who hand chops a guy in 30 seconds and ends a match...So do you think it would be realistic for him to be eliminated and never win a world title...If this is meant to be realistic then he should and did win the titlee proving that hes a monster.Also be glad that we finally see him in matches against main eventers now instead of local boys....Now I know it wasnt realistic for The Giant Slayer...Sorry I mean Cena,to beat him either but I think they moved the punjabis ass to Smackdown to distance themselves from that...Either way he had to win the title in order for ANYTHING to make sense...Think about that before you say it was dumb...
FeudsThis can be tied in with the whole booking thing but it makes no sense....All the feuds as of late have been half ass ones that are rushed...Booking,I dont care if its Vince or the creative team,have to plan ahead....We have had Carlito/Sandman...Cena/Lashley...AndRhodes/Orton which are all said to be done now after only like 3 weeks each...Now the most outrageous of them all are Orton/Rhodes....After a viscious attack two night in a row and a great build up story here that could really help young Cody and even Orton,do you think all should just be dropped...I do not!

And now I will present m power 3 of the WWE...Here I will each week choose the top guy from each brand and select why he is in the top 3...However I will not be able to choose the same guy 2 weeks in a row so that it can have a mix up....
Power3
Raw-Randy Orton-He has destroyed 3 legends since Backlash in Michaels,RVD,and Rhodes and the pas 2 weeks has been the best on Raw.He has got a victory over Cody Rhodes,followed by a beating of Dusty Rhodes at his own game at GAB and then aanother Cody victory on Raw.This was all followed by Orton ending Dustys career and being inserted into the WWE Title picture!
ECWJohn Morrison-John has now changed the face of ECW.The new gimmcik gives him cred and allows him to have the star look.He will carry ECW along with Punk and Burke,even if/when he loses the belt....
SmackDown-Batista-Batista has now been rejuvinated and full of energy.With Khali winnign the title he is now able to search for the title once again...I believe he will capture this one again....This opens up oppurtuity again for him and allows him to prove hes the top guy son Smackdown through their recnt injuries....

What is Outraging Mike Raw?
