Monty Brown, last seen nationally in ECW as "Marcus Cor Von" told Michigan Live's website that he was negotiating for a planned return to World Wrestling Entertainment.

"I had to take some time away for a while on my own terms, but I kept a good rapport with the company and can come back at any time. I've got a lot going and I had a lot going (before leaving the WWE)."

Cor Von took an extended period of time away from the company following the death of a family member and eventually asked for a release so he could help assist his family in the period after the tragedy.

Brown had signed with WWE in November 2006 after a run with TNA Wrestling. He appeared as part of The New Breed in the 8 Man Tag Team bout featuring members of the ECW brand at Wrestlemania 23 in Detroit, Michigan.

The article, which noted Brown was the most famous member of the Michigan Bearcats High School football team alumni, also noted that Brown recently launched his own clothing line.

I don't know if this has been posted, so if it is I apologize.

Sweet! For some reason I like the guy. He might not be the most polished in-ring technician, but damn it, the man is entertaining.

The one thing he has going against him is his age... He'll be 39 in about a week and a half.

Yeah, I love the guy too. He's pretty awesome, especially his mic work

His battle royal skills are probably the best I've ever seen though.

That's pretty good. I'd liek to see him have a nice run on Smackdown as a midcarder. Hopefully they can use him well this time.

He doesn't have to compete with Lashley this time around so his look will be more unique.

Put him on ECW as a Main Eventer, and please, give him a better name.

As has been mentioned before, he's pretty awesome, he'll do alright if he comes back i'm sure.

...Lets hope he has better theme music this time too.

Screw you, nothing beats Marcus Cor Von and "Smooth"

Nothing is better than a James Brown-esque theme saying "I'm Liquid Smooth"

I am sorry but this theme was genius.

Yeah, I know what you mean. He's very balanced overall. Not the best in any category by any means, but their all average or above.
