The official SD discussion thread for 7/17 (7/16 for the Euros)

So this is how its going to be from now on. I'll post a thread for each weekly show. Props to Sex-power, Peepshow and I'm sure someone else for the original idea.

Anyways, here are the scheduled matches for this week's SD.

CM Punk vs John Morrison
Kane vs R-Truth
The Hart Dynasty vs Cryme Tyme & Eve
Rey Mysterio & Jeff Hardy vs Chris Jericho & Dolph Ziggler

Feel free to discuss, predict, or bitch and moan about a show you have yet to see. I'm thinking we should vote for the MOTN for each show since we've been getting some good wrestling as of late on WWE tv.

CM Punk vs John Morrison

This match always delivers, should do the same again here. CM Punk = Champ so he should get the win although it would make Morrison look even better if he were to win. Should be good.

Kane vs R-Truth

Kane returned and beat Mysterio and Hardy, for him to lose to R-Truth after that would be fucking stupid. Hopefully Kane fucks up Khali after the match too.

The Hart Dynasty vs Cryme Tyme & Eve

I'll be pissed if Cryme Tyme beat these guys again, especially since Even is the diva theyre teaming with. Hart Dynasty should fuck em up.

Rey Mysterio & Jeff Hardy vs Chris Jericho & Dolph Ziggler

Should be match of the night, it has the potential to be anyways. Dolphs first SD Main Event! I wasn't sure who to choose here, in the end I choose Jericho/Dolph as Punk may either attack Jeff or theyll somehow cheat to win, Mysretio/Hardy could just as easily win though. MOTN but it will have competition in Punk Vs Morrison.

The show looks pretty good matchwise, I really don't want Kane stuck in this gay feud with Khali, theyve built Kane up nicely with those two big wins over probably the two biggest faces on SD, they better not waste it by making him lose to Khali. Also, fuck Cryme Tyme and yeah...

* A WrestleMania 25 package is shown. Undertaker gets a big pop while Randy Orton gets heat.

Dark Match:
* MVP b. Alex Riley w/Beverly in a squash match.
- Riley has a high school gimmick with Beverly as his 'prom queen'. MVP gets the win with his Playmaker finisher after connecting with a clothesline. The match was approximately five minutes long.

SmackDown: (Airing Friday)

* Prior to this week's SmackDown, a promo was taped with Rey Mysterio & Dolph Ziggler. Rey talks about Ziggler's attack last week. Ziggler comes out and interrupts. Mysterio challenges him. Ziggler wants the match at Night of Champions for the Intercontinental Championship. Rey accepts. They brawl until finally Ziggler retreats. The crew prepares for SmackDown.

* SmackDown opens with Jeff Hardy coming to the ring to address CM Punk's comments he made last week. Hardy claims that he'll win at Night of Champions. CM Punk comes out and interrupts. He calls Jeff a joke and asks him how many test and classes he failed in school. Jeff attacks Punk after he claims all of Jeff's fans will become a statistic.

* John Morrison b. CM Punk
- Before the match a recap aired showing Punk's loss to Morrison last month. The match was pretty much back and forth throughout. Both men counter finishers. Morrison gets the win with the rollup. After the match, Punk refuses a friendly handshake.

* Layla comes out in a Miami Heat Jersey and dances for the local fans. She is interrupted by Ricky Ortiz who cuts an anti-heat promo. He gives Layla a towel and she drops it.

* Kane b. R-Truth
- Truth jumps off the top rope and catches a boot to the face. Kane win. After the match, Great Khali comes out. R-Truth hits the top rope dropkick. Kane flees through the crowd.

* The Hart Dynasty b. Cryme Tyme & Eve Torres in a Mixed Tag Team Match
- The Hart Dynasty gets the win when Natalya gets the pin on Eve.

* Edge is interviewed on the screen. He says he'll do everything to get back in the ring. Chris Jericho interrupts the interview and calls Edge pathetic. He says he'll find a new partner for Night of Champion and will continue to reign. Jericho then refers to Edge as injury prone. The crowd is behind Edge.

* Rey Mysterio & Jeff Hardy b. Chris Jericho & Dolph Ziggler via disqualification.
- CM Punk is out to commentate. Jeff tries to throw Jericho into Punk. Punk tosses Jericho to Jeff. The referee calls for the bell. Ziggler lays the referee out on the outside. Jeff gets the Codebreaker. Punk walks to the back as Jeff is in Wall of Jericho. Jericho & Ziggler raise their hands as they exit.

Opening and closing matches sound great.

Even pre-announcing the matches is kinda a spoiler IMO (We only know these matches because of spoilers).... Takes the fun out of seeing the matches set-up as the promos and such unfold.

Spoilers in spoiler tags, and if they bother people, then I think match announcements should be in tags as well. It's just a click of a button and if it saves people's enjoyment then sure.

Since I'm not watching SD until Punk loses his title, I don't really care about the spoilers. I read them anyway to see what happens on the show. But I could see why some wouldn't want them to be in this thread since there's a whole section dedicated to spoilers. Just my opinion

@Sex-Power: I think what he means is what he said. He want's you to say fuck it to doing reviews for SD until atleast after friday night when it airs in the states.
