I'm happy, sad, and worried about Moore as the new Coach for the Saints. He earned that job no doubt but the Saints are in Cap hell right now they'll need to first figure out what to do with Derek Carr. You have some good pieces on Offense and Defense but you need your QB that you can trust to start to fix things.

The Miami Dolphins have released running back Raheem Mostert after three seasons with the team.

The Dolphins announced Mostert's release Friday along with cornerback Kendall Fuller and tight end Durham Smythe.

Mostert signed with the Dolphins in 2022 and made the Pro Bowl after rushing for a career-high 1,012 yards and 18 touchdowns in 2023. The undrafted running back led the NFL with 21 total touchdowns during his Pro Bowl season.

"Looks like my client Raheem Mostert will be playing elsewhere next season," Mostert's agent, Brett Tessler, wrote earlier Friday on X. "Very thankful for his time with the Miami Dolphins, and this gives them a chance to get younger and gives him a chance to pursue a ring elsewhere."

Mostert, 32, closes his tenure in Miami with 2,181 rushing yards and 28 total touchdowns.

His release leaves the Dolphins with De'Von Achane and 2024 fourth-round pick Jaylen Wright manning their backfield. Achane worked as the team's feature back last season and led all NFL running backs with 78 catches and 592 receiving yards.

Fuller started 11 games at cornerback for the Dolphins in 2024, his only season in Miami. He recorded 50 tackles and one fumble recovery.

Smythe spent seven seasons with the Dolphins after they drafted him in the fourth round in 2018. He totaled 132 career receptions for 1,228 yards and three touchdowns.

If there's a team like the Eagles or the Ravens that already has an elite running back, he would form a duo with those running backs, especially if you look at the Lions running backs Gibbs and Montgomery. That would be a smart move if either team, or another team, signs him.

OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- Seven more women have accused Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker of engaging in sexually inappropriate misconduct at high-end spas, the Baltimore Banner reported Sunday.

This increases the total to 16 therapists from eight different spas to make allegations of inappropriate behavior by Tucker. All of the incidents reportedly occurred during sessions from 2012 to 2016, which were Tucker's first five seasons in the NFL.

In the latest allegations, one woman told the Banner that Tucker left what she believed to be ejaculate on the table and another said he made intense eye contact throughout the massage while exposed.

At his news conference during Super Bowl week, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell addressed the allegations made against Tucker, saying, "They are obviously serious issues and he is taking that seriously as are we." Tucker could be subject to discipline under the NFL's personal conduct policy.

In response to the new accusations, Tucker's lawyers told the Banner to refer to the kicker's social media post on Jan. 30, when Tucker called the allegations "unequivocally false."

Tucker wrote that the Banner article "takes innocuous or ambiguous interactions and skews them so out of proportion that they are no longer recognizable. ... This is desperate tabloid fodder."

Last week, Tucker's lawyers provided a sworn declaration from the owner of Baltimore Spa & Salon saying she never received complaints about him or suspected he engaged in any misconduct. Therapists from the spa told the Banner they did not report his behavior to supervisors because they feared they would lose their jobs.

Allegations against Tucker first surfaced on Jan. 30, when the Banner spoke to six massage therapists about his behavior. Tucker's conduct, according to the article, caused some therapists to refuse to work with him again and resulted in two spas banning him from returning.

Tucker's lawyers said Tucker has never been banned from the two spas. They also denied allegations of inappropriate behavior, telling the Banner it's speculative and "impossible to prove."

On Feb. 1, three additional massage therapists accused Tucker of misconduct. One woman produced what she said was an internal report from 2015 about her experiences with Tucker.

She told the Banner that Tucker stroked her inner thigh during a massage, would expose himself, and left what she believed to be ejaculate on the table. She had reached out to a reporter about her allegations in 2015 but didn't continue over fears of retaliation.

After the first allegations were made last month, the Ravens issued a statement saying, "We take any allegations of this nature seriously and will continue to monitor the situation." Three years ago, Ravens coach John Harbaugh referred to the team's zero-tolerance policy for domestic violence when asked about Deshaun Watson's six-game suspension following accusations of sexual misconduct with massage therapists.

Tucker, 35, is a seven-time Pro Bowler who is the most accurate kicker in NFL history. He is the longest-tenured player on the Ravens and the last remaining player from their Super Bowl championship team in 2012.

PHILADELPHIA -- The Eagles filled their vacant offensive coordinator job from within, promoting passing game coordinator/associate head coach Kevin Patullo to the post Wednesday.

He'll replace Kellen Moore, who was hired as the New Orleans Saints' head coach shortly after Philadelphia's Super Bowl LIX win over the Kansas City Chiefs.

Patullo, 43, has an extended history with coach Nick Sirianni. Patullo served as wide receivers coach and then pass game specialist for the Indianapolis Colts from 2018 to 2020 during Sirianni's stint as the Colts' offensive coordinator. Sirianni hired Patullo as pass game coordinator when he got the Eagles' head coaching job in 2021.

"[He has been] very important to the success that we've had," Sirianni said earlier this month. "He wears a lot of different hats. Helps me with different things, with head coaching things. I can't tell you I make a decision without saying to Kevin first, 'What do you think?'... He's kind of the same sounding board for Kellen of the offensive side.

"This is eight years with Kevin. That continuity is really important because he knows what I'm thinking in certain situations, how you want things to be taught, all those different things."

The switch to Patullo means that quarterback Jalen Hurts will have his fifth different playcaller since entering the league in 2020. While Hurts hasn't received the level of continuity he'd like, there is familiarity between he and Patullo, with Patullo helping to shape the offense and the passing game in particular the past several seasons.

"I have a lot of confidence in him and what he's shown," Hurts said of Patullo last week. "However, I've learned over the years [the offensive coordinator decision] is out of my jurisdiction. So just kind of taking things as they come and trying to go out there and be the best I can be and just learn and evolve."

The last in-house offensive coordinator promotion did not go as hoped. The Eagles elevated Brian Johnson, a longtime friend of the Hurts family, to the role following the departure of Shane Steichen. The offensive visions of Sirianni, Johnson and Hurts never fully aligned, leading to a lack of identity on offense that factored into the team's collapse down the stretch in 2023.

Moore was brought in to replace Johnson this offseason. Sirianni ceded much of the offensive control to him and took on more of a CEO role. The Eagles leaned on Saquon Barkley and their elite ground game following their Week 5 bye, helping to ignite a 10-game winning streak and a Super Bowl run.

The NFL on Wednesday informed its teams that the per-team salary cap for 2025 would be between $277.5 million and $281.5 million, with the final figure to be determined following further negotiations with the NFL Players Association.

Regardless of where it lands in that range, the salary cap will rise significantly for the second year in a row.

Last year saw the largest cap increase of all time, as it rose from $224.8 million in 2023 to $255.4 million for the 2024 season. This year's increase means the cap will have increased by at least $53 million over the past two years.

The salary cap is calculated annually based on a collectively bargained formula tied to league revenues, which have increased in recent years because of new media rights deals. But the reason the number is not yet finalized is that the league and the NFLPA, as they do every year, are still working on adjustments to the number that formula determined.

Last year, for example, the formula dictated that the cap should have been $265.4 million, $10 million higher than it eventually was. But as the league explained in its Wednesday memo to teams, it was reduced because the two parties agreed to add $1 million to the performance-based pay pool and make a "smoothing adjustment" of $9 million.

The NFLPA agreed to the smoothing adjustment because it didn't want a situation where one year's cap increase was massive and the next year's significantly less so, disproportionally benefiting the players who were getting new deals in the big-increase year at the expense of players up for deals in future years.

The reason the cap figure is not yet finalized, the league's memo says, is because the NFLPA has yet to inform the league about how it wants to recoup that $9 million that was smoothed out of last year's cap. Per the 2024 agreement, the union has the right to recover up to $4.5 million of that $9 million deferral this year and the remainder next year. The league, therefore, is waiting to hear back from the NFLPA how much of that $4.5 million should be added to this year's cap, hence the range.

The NFLPA declined to comment for this report.

The league's memo to teams said it expects to conclude its negotiations with the NFLPA next week, at which time the cap number will be finalized. The new league year (and with it free agency) opens at 4 p.m. ET on March 12.

The memo also says, "Keep in mind that this range is subject to change based on further negotiations with the NFL Players Association."
