Admittedly I was thinking that Truex would post something more heartfelt than that but I wasn't going to mention or talk about it. Danica shouldn't have either. It's not like the statement from MTJ hurt anyone. Danica should have just let it be because she made herself look bad.

I just assumed that Truex is too emotionally overwhelmed with the loss to post something more personal. He does strike me as the type of guy that doesn't share his feelings to just anyone. I never thought that Martin had spite toward Sherry or anything. He was still supporting her after their breakup. They still had the cancer foundation. Wasn't a good idea by Danica to post that.

Danica Patrick has always been known as a massive cunt though. Like she never won a NASCAR race in her life, was notorious for burying her staff, blaming other people for her terrible driving, and was, IIRC, heavily disliked by every other driver in NASCAR. She's a massive bitch.

Exactly, like what the fuck is he supposed to do? People want to be too hard on him, but they have zero clue how they'd be responding in this situation.

There break up also could’ve been a situation where she knew this was coming, and she didn’t want to put him through all that, and they mutually agreed to part ways. Because i believe he just hosted something for her like within the last couple weeks or so.

They had remained friends and did charity work together. MTJ is the only Toyota driver I like, largely because he’s such a class act.

I have defended Danica in the past in other circles because a lot of people on the internet are generally jerks and just want attack someone to make themselves feel better (not anyone here). I do think that Danica has been unfairly criticized elsewhere from her time in NASCAR. Kind of like what people have been saying about Hailie Deegan for years. Bubba Wallace has been a more recent target.

...but she was in the wrong on this. One of the issues of having social media is that some people fail to realize that they shouldn't always share what they think or at least fail to realize when it's not an appropriate time to say some things.
