After a bout of public polling from around the world, the new seven wonders of the world have been listed.

1. Chichen Itza, Mexico

2. Christ the Redeemer, Rio de Janeiro

3. The Colosseum, Rome

4. The Great Wall of China

5. Machu Picchu, Peru

6. Petra, Jordan

7. Taj Mahal, India

Personally I woulda gotten rid of Christ the Redeemer and the Taj Mahal and replaced them with Stonehenge and the Easter Islands, but that's just me.

I saw a great exhibit on Petra at the Museum of Civilization here last year. Entirely fascinating place. Also the fact that it was used in Indiana Jones is pretty cool.
