Im sure we all know by now that flair will retire next year and get inducted into the hall of fame. Once Flair is gone hopefully a great opportunity will be given to a certain superstar. What's the opportunity you ask? The chance to be called "The Nature Boy". When the first ever WWE Champion Buddy Rogers retired he was defeated by none other than Ric Flair. As a result of losing Rogers was forced to give up the "Nature Boy" name and give it to Ric Flair. So now Ric Flair has become the 2nd "Nature Boy". Rogers passed the torch to Flair and now that Flair days's in the ring are numbered it's only right that Flair shall pass the torch.

Which brings me to my question "Who should the next Nature Boy be"? My answer Kenny Dykstra. You may remember Kenny as the former Spirit Squad member and leader. I remember a lot of people discussing how much potential this Kenny guy has. After the Spirit Squad came to an end Kenny Dykstra stepped up to fued with "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair. Which in my opinion gave the answer to who shall claim the nature boy name. Some months later Flair and Dykstra were both drafted to Smackdown.

Now it's Dykstra's turn to be given the nature boy name and with Flair presumably having his last match at Wrestlemania 24 maybe a Flair vs. Dykstra match could be in the works? Here is what i can see happening Dykstra defeats Flair and as a result flair has to pass the torch to Kenny and Kenny is now "The Nature Boy" or Flair beats Kenny and gives Kenny his famous rope that says Nature Boy on it. Now i think you know what that would mean.

So your thoughts?

First of all let the guy use his real ring name, Ken Doane, I love this guy he has to potential to be one of the greats. It's a good idea but job Flair out on his last match, i dont like it also you know wwe these days they'd call him Nature Boy for 2 weeks and then they'd forget about it, take him off tv, wwe is fucking Blue sometimes.

Well I like the idea.Although alot of peressure would be on Dykstra to live up to this hype.Being a Nature Boy would mean him on his way to becoming a legend. He would no longer be able to job or anythin>I think by WM24 he would be able to pull it off.It would be a really coo concept and I see someone etting the Nature Boy Gimmick.I know someone will, not sure who but Dykstra could be a good choice...

IDK it sounds like a wierd topic to discuss but I'll go with it.

Kenny is a prompt disision he's at the begining of his carear which makes him a perfect candidate he is quite good in the ring and has made his own style but what I'm worried about is that he will be shuned aside and be critisized for steeling Flairs name so I'm going with a maybe on this.

I don't rate Dykstra. He is just a midcarder. He lacks height, muscle and has othing to make him stand out from the crowd. He is 'just another guy' in my eyes. Becuase of that, he should never recieve such an honour as to be given the Nature Boy tag. I don't believe anyone should be given that honor, as nobody could replicate a Legend like Flair.

I think it would be better for Kenny Dysktra to call himself "The Modern Man" or something like that, mainly cause I think Flair should retire as "The Nature Boy" without someone else using that tag after and Dysktra could then create his own path with his character.

I like Kenny Dykstra, but I'm not sure if he should be the second coming...or third coming of the Nature Boy. Thats a huge task and I'm not sure if Kenny is the right person. Kenny has the potential to be great, but he lacks the overall presence of "The Nature Boy". I would much rather see a guy like Kennedy or even a "Black Nature Boy" like Elijah Burke... but in the end I would like to see them put the "Nature Boy" name to rest.

btw there is already a "Black Nature Boy", its Scoot Andrews, but he doesn't really deserve the name.

idk. i think Flair IS the Nature Boy, and taking that from him lessens it.

but, it'd be a great way to push Kenny.

and then imagine. David Flair (or Ric's younger son) comes into the WWE, and is managed by Ric. David fueds with Kenny for the title "Nature Boy", and wins. Being the 4th generation Nature Boy and 2nd generation Flair "Nature Boy"

Then david follows in Flairs footsteps, and if Ric's younger son comes into WWE, then that'd open up huge possibilites of a 3rd flair and such.

IMO, ok idea.

Yea I agree. Kenny Dykstra as the nature boy would be pretty odd, and dar fetched. I do like the idea of using Burke as the black nature boy. Its a spin, and less pressure would be on him

I think the one that could best live up to Flair, would be Mr Kennedy, although he doesnt really need the nature boy gimmick to get over. His character has many similarities to flair, along with his look. I wouldn't feel right was just anyone using nature boy. I think they should wait 20 some more years before they use it again.

In 4 years, I see Kenny Dykstra working in Mcdonalds. Remember how much potential they saw in Chris Masters? What happened? Sure they are pushing him once again, but that's because he's got his good built going for him. Dykstra has nothing.

I think peeps are forgetting Dykstra's age and how he is clearly still learning, he is not going to be the finished article for a while yet. To me he has show alot of potential, much in the way Orton did before he became part of Evolution.

I like the idea of Kennedy or Burke as the nature boy but to me Kenny just has the "look" of the "Nature Boy. I really can see him pulling it off and he has a lot of time before Flair retires to progress. By the way to everyone who is saying it would be hard for Kenny to live up to flair he doesn't have to no one will ever live up to ric flair but that doesn't me you can't try or carry on the nature boy name. Ric Flair will still be remembered by a lot of people as the nature boy and it's not like Kenny will be called Kenny Flair. He would just be using flair's nickname.

Why is everybody saying Kennedy? That's a downright horrible idea, Kennedy is already over and doesn't need anything else, he was lucky enough to get the right gimmick whereas Doane wasn't. They should make Doane like a younger Randy Orton without the Legend killer, just a young brash kid with no respect for older legends in the business.

Its a shame really that Dykstra got shipped to SD as if they had moved him to ECW a place in The New Breed really could have served him well, also he'd be on a brand that he'd have a chance to shine somewhat and get into storylines more, he looks currently like he'll be lost in shuffle for while on SD. I still feel he has the potential though to a future fixture in or around the main titles in 5 years or so.

No. Kenny Dykstra first should get his wrestling name changed to Ken Doane. Then he should hit the gym and gain like 20 pounds of muscle, then he should get a nosejob. Now he's got a good look because right now he looks like he should be in higschool. But giving him the Nature Boy name? No Way, it'd be stupid, beating Flair in his last match is enough. Maybe have Doane go on for a few weeks calling himself Nature Boy in disrespect and then someone like HHH who is good friends with Flair steps up and they have a match on Raw where HHH wins and Doane is forced to stop doing that or "HHH will kick his ass, but this time it will end his career".

Burke as the black nature boy, haha I kindof like that to. It would definetly add heel heat if he did that, but then again it could add face heat if he was doing it as a memory of Flair. Burke has a great character for that and thats about all I would want to see do it.
