Funny story from a recent Hulk Hogan interview on Bubba the Love Sponge. Hogan was asked if Floyd Mayweather Jr. was really getting paid $20 million by WWE. Hogan replied, "Who is he? A boxer?" Hogan said for $2 million, he would go to Wresltemania and job for any midcarder. Hogan went as far as to say, "I would even job for (Dave) Meltzer."

(source: The Wrestling Observer Newsletter)

Sure Hulk, like you did to Randy and Shawn

As said by some before, he's 'broke' now and none of the competition could ever afford Hogan... He's likely to be a lot more compliant for any future WWE appearances.

If what he's saying is anything other than total bullshit, I say jobbing him to a midcarder who's seriously on the rise would be $2m well spent!

I agree, but seriously, Hogan has not jobbed to HBK nor Randy Orton, and I think it was for more money. For some reason I find it hard to believe that at Wrestlemania he would job for a midcarder.

I would job him to Santino, just for the fun of it

Haha... That would be awesome! I'd love to hear Santino misquoting all his catch-phrases etc. (see SCSA) in the build up and then imagine how funny he'd be the night after on Raw?

That was all before his divorce though, i beleive, and pressumably whilst the money was still rolling in from his TV show.

LoL, for 2 million he would go and job to some mid-carder at.... WRESTLEMANIA??? Was he trying to send an indirect message to Vince McMahon since it's WrestleMania season? Telling McMahon "Pay me $2Million and make me loose?"

What a fucking blueberry..

I don't get all the Hogan hate.

He's been notoriously selfish in the ring in his twilight years, and the last few matches that he's wrestled he has had absolutely no business winning. Or even requesting to win.

Weren't both HBK & Orton meant to be 2 match series' with them both beating Hogan on the second attempt, only for Hogan to play up injuries to avoid working the rematches... Leaving the record reflecting Hogan being 1-0 to both guys.

I have no idea, but that wouldn't surprise me. After all this is the guy who had the Warrior brought into WCW strictly so he could get his win back.

Well if what I've read over the years is to be believed the that was defo the case for HBK. Gotta be a similar explaination for Orton, I mean they put a hell of amount of star power (and pressumably $$$ in wages and screen time) into building Orton, why would they put The Legend Killer in a match or fued so he can get 'killed' BY a legend of Hogan's age?

Edit: Recalling the HBK DVD it was initially agreed that it'd be a face v face, "I had to know if I could beat you", respect driven match, but as the build up was due to start Hogan demanded it be changed and that Shawn adopt a heel stance identicle to that of HBK circa '98 (as we know Shawn has been trying to leave those days behind him for more than honest, commendable reasons).

Still, that was worth it just to see his and Bischoffs faces as Warrior began to rant about their WWF fued in the middle of the WCW ring! LOL

Incedentally that was the last time I thought Shawn was truly entertaining as a character.

No question. The whole feud was by far one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

I know that HBK and Hogan was supposed to be a two match series. Not sure about Orton.

And lol, worth it, they both had the worst match I have ever seen at Havoc

It was a horrid match, but come on that's what made it worth it. It was truly one of a kind.

By all accounts I have heard, Hogan/Orton was supposed to culminate at Mania 23. Orton even said so himself before the Summerslam match. There is just no logical explaination why the WWE would let Hogan come in and beat Orton. Although Orton did just come back from some disciplinary issues.

HBK/Hogan 2 was definitely supposed to happen. It was obvious Hogan called it off before their SS match which is why HBK oversold to make a mockery of the match.

Also, when Hogan says he will put over midcarders, it just so happens that in his mind there are no midcarders. Just curtain jerkers then Hogan.

That was when he tried to 'blind' Warrior wasn't it? LOL

That'd explain his seemingly random inclusion in MITB.
