The Happening!?!?!?!?!?!? (enter and talk 'bout tha film if you've seen it yet)

Well so basically, during a drive up to Superior(lake superior) with the Family(me,my cousins, and several others) we shopped at a mall, and soon afterwards we went to a nearby theatre and basically everyone else went to go see that "Love Guru" movie, while I and my older cousin(Tubby Bauer aka Kyle) went to go see M.Night's Latest Offering in the Suspense/Horror/Thriller/TwistEnding Genre.



SO Basically, The Films about like "Plants" or "Trees" fighting back by releasing chemicals into the air that cause people to become damn near "BrainDead" and soon the (zombies?) find vicious-odd-and cruel ways to "Off" themselves.....
5 to 10 minutes into the film, there's people jumping off a roof of a construction-site and such...

anyways, me?...I enjoyed this movie...People Randomly Dying and Violence and Stuff is kind've somewhat funny to me and stuff like that...:sweatdrop: :bb: :gun_smilie: oster_dev: so much so, that I had to use "FOUR" smileys out of a possible "SIX" smiley rating for this film....


It's not thee best M.Night Film
(cause we all know by now that Signs/6thSense are his Best Films so far) ,

but its definatley not his worst film.
(its not gay like the dreadful Village and its not average like ladyhotro-whoa...errr!, I mean, lady in the water)




So Would I recommend it?


well, if lets say if you like violence then basically you'll only see the "Un"censored scenes that they've already thrown in the commercials so many times (like that guy laying underneth a lawnmower would've freaked me out had it not have been shown in the commercial)....


but other then that...All I gotz-Ta-Say is that I'm an idoit and if you come back here all mad at me for recommending this film then its yo-own DAMN Fault sucka!!!!



but if you enjoy the film then like...its totally all cause of me:brows:



Anyways....if you've already seen it by now, then come up in here and talk-about it..ya-heard?!

Dude, the Village was awesome. Your just upset because there wasn't really monsters. And it's because of that that I'll take your review of the Happening in the opposite way that you meant it.

The Happening sucks.

Let's not count that Kenfan just told everyone the only thing intriguing of the movie(the fact that it is plants killing people). Besides, I don't know why, but I just felt Mark Whalberg or whatever he is named completely out of place in that character

And it has some seriously logical failures. If the wind is blowing something to you it isn't going to just randomly drop whatever it's blowing towards you and pass over you without changing speed or direction. Plus how could one person be sitting right next a person who is infected and not be infected herself?

well my favorite "SPOT" was that one where that old chick bashes her own skull into the wall several times, then striaght into-through the glass window and such...



The Happening Honestly reminds me of some of the more fun-steven(I spell it however i wanna-spell-it) King movies..

like That Maxium-Overdrive(starring Emilio-Estavas) where all those Semi-Trucks & Tech-Machines Begin randomly killing people in some odd-spots...

like a vending machine-shooting soda-pops at a guy and several kids
or a toaster going all evil on several cooks...


and some video-game-arcade electrocuting several gamers and such...


thats basically what the happening is like...

random-violence thats fun to look at...
not much logic...
just something fun to look at...

like a TLC/hardcore match...


thats how I'd sum up this movie...


but thats me, and considering everyone's still somewhat on this "F-KenFan" bandwagon and want me banned and such, I guess everyone's gonna pop-up in here and be like "Yo-Happening Sucks" and stuff...
And yea..it sort've sucks, but its basically just fun-violence...

so overrall, with the current movies out, I'd recommend that Rock-Movie..(saw it with my dad yesterday) cause its pretty good...that
"get-smart" movie and maybe...that upcoming batman movie seem like they're good and such..I dunno...

I heard it sucked.

The directors other movies were awful anyway, except The Sixth Sense. The Village was meh.
