The entire story of the title does indeed revolve around Hangman not being ready 2 years ago n doubting himself. It really is a beautifully crafted thing. This is 20 minute read though fair warning, but it's got everything you need to know about this story.

I kinda don't want Hangman to win.... not yet. I know it's been a long road but I think having him lose would make the eventual victory that much sweeter. Hangman is likely going to be the franchise of AEW. Having him not win would make long story even better.

Yeah I think at this point the wait has been so long that you'd risk killing his momentum lol SOOOOO many people wanna see him win now, and instant gratification is more of a thing nowadays it seems too, dont think most people would care as much for his second chance if they feel they were robbed of their moment at this PPV

This ain't even an instant gratification thing though. This has been built up perfectly long enough. I'm a big fan of the delayed gratification thing but there is most definitely only so many times you can dangle the carrot before it's a point of diminishing returns or whatever. It might be one thing if they had Hangman lose the Casino ladder match and continue his chase (prolly woulda been a bad idea also though, unless he entered in an won this eliminator tournament which tbh could have been more appropriate for the storyline but nevertheless) but not now that he's here at this point facing Omega for the title at the same PPV where Omega beat him a year ago... there is not gonna be a better time.
