Which one of the Royal Rumble PPVs was the best ever?

I can say that my favorite is the 2001 Royal Rumble. First of all, it was the most star filled PPV in history of the Royal Rumble. Jericho and Benoit had the most amazing ladder match for the Intercontinental title. We had one of the first 'heel vs heel' matches in Triple H vs Kurt Angle for the WWE Championship.

99 RR for me. Stone Cold taken away on a gourney and eventually to the hospital. Later he returns to stun the crowd and win the RR.

EDIT McMahon actually won the RR after second thought.

2001 is the best for me. One of the best Rumbles and one of the best Rumble cards ever.

Great start to the year, which could have ended up being their best year ever if not for Austin's failed heel turn and the ill-fated Invasion angle later on.

I forget the year, but the royal rumble where someone put a hit on Stone Cold. When his entry came he came from behind the crowd who was waiting for him in the ring and just dominated

2004 is my personal favorite, easily. So many great parts of it, and Benoit won which helps it a lot, especially when considering all the factors going into his victory. Granted, as I just said in the other Rumble thread, I've seen very little Rumble matches, including the one from 2001.

He came up behind them from the crowd in 1998 (because he stunnered a bunch of Rumble participants leading up to the match, just to piss them off) but 1999 was the one where Vince put a hit out on Austin, saying that anyone who threw him out would collect a huge bounty ($1000 or $100,000, can't remember.)

2004 was pretty good IMO and it doesn't involves the fact that Benoit Won
