There is the Fox and the Oddity. These two guys like non WWE wrestling and would like to try and put focus on them. The Oddity is @Seth , who will be focusing on independent wrestling while my focus will be on Japanese wrestling.

So Seth comes with me with this great idea and at first I wondered how he could come up with such a great idea. Then I remembered he is moderately cool and that's likely how he did it.

All kidding aside, I think most who know me here know that Japanese wrestling is my passion in wrestlimg. Although I did win the WWE Fanboy award here on the forum once. WWE has always been a traditional thing I have been loyal to, but hasn't been my favorite wrestling in a very, very long time. With Impact pretty much in its death throes and ROH without a cable deal nationwide, it seems like there might not be other options.

Japanese wrestling has quickly been becoming more and more popular in the United States and other Western countries. But even though I post rate threads for some of the New Japan events, it's rather inconsistent on my behalf. It can be easy to forget about Japanese promotions if too much time goes on between them hearing about them. So much like Seth will be doing with indy promotions, I will try and help keep a focus on Japanese wrestling by watching the events and reviewing them. I'll use the same system Seth is using so as not to get confusing when it comes to matches. However, rather than do this once or twice a week, I will try to do it the day of the event or at most the next day. As all of these promotions have many events, I won't be able to review them all. However, I will try to keep it consistent for the main monthly events so you will have a consistent flow of news for the event. The events themselves I will set up a regular poll for you to use WWE Forum's 0-10 voting system.

This is basically me trying to get the international wrestling section hopping and me dedicated to posting more here to get it going. Anyone who is interested in helping out, please take part. I know Stopspot is brilliant when it comes to Japanese wrestling and plenty others watch it. But let's show people how enjoyable it is.

Many of the indy promotions that Seth mentioned are available to watch on YouTube quickly after they air. But Japanese wrestling is also a very good option to those not familiar with it. Many Japanese events and matches get made available on YouTube, Daily Motion and others. But in addition two Japanese promotions, New Japan and All Japan, have streaming services that showcase all of their current shows.

I watch a lot of Japanese wrestling so I'll be covering the Japanese side of this little collaboration. Now there are a lot of Japanese wrestling promotions out there. Most are familiar with the biggest, which is New Japan Pro Wrestling. Other well known promotions are All Japan Pro Wrestling which has a much different style than New Japan, with a slower, what I consider wrestling based approach as opposed to New Japan's "keep things quick and flying" method. There's also Dragon gate, which I have to admit I have not had a chance to watch often but will be watching it and reviewing it. Another well known promotion is Pro Wrestling Noah.

And you know, I might be a dork, but Seth only calls me that because I'm cuter than he is.
