Ok fight fans, since Zuffa finally had the UFC absorb the remaining weight classes (135,145,155) from the WEC, it's created a buzz in the MMA world. Zuffa will now have only one 155lb champion which will be determined after Benson Henderson defends his WEC crown against Anthony Pettis and UFC standard-bearer, Frankie Edgar puts it on the line against the only fighter to ever defeat him, Gray Maynard. 2 of these 4 will then meet in 2011 to unify the 155lb crown. With that said, what fights do you want to see come to pass in 2011??? Not just in the UFC, but all of Mixed Martial Arts. There's a few I would like to see happen, and the rumor mill is abuzz that they may happen.

For me here's who Id like to see tangle!!!

Gilbert Melendez vs. Eddie Alvarez. The Strikeforce 155lb champ and the Bellator 155lb champ have been rumored for the past few weeks to be heading for a "Superfight". Bellator owner, Bjorn Rebney has been contacting Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker as much as possible through email, phone, and text. However, Coker wants Rebney to meet him in person to discuss the fight. Both fighters are very open to the idea.

Frank Mir vs. Brock Lesnar III. They're 1-1 against each other. Mir is coming off of a solid rebound win over Mirko Filipovic while Lesnar is coming off of his title loss to Velasquez. Both fighters badly need a win. Can Mir catch Brock again??? Or, can Lesnar improve his standup and pound Mir into oblivion once more???

Cain Velasquez vs. Junior dos Santos. JDS is the heir apparent for the next title shot anyways. Cain has set the MMA world on fire with his title win. He's gone from well known amongst the MMA faithful, to becoming a household name. Cain used solid MMA technique to slay the beast known as Lesnar, he now will put his crown up against his toughest test to date. dos Santos is a BJJ blackbelt that loves to stand and trade. I can't wait for this bout to happen.

Alistair Overeem vs. Fabricio Werdum. Werdum more than earned the next crack at the Strikeforce 265lb title when he handed the legendary Fedor Emelianenko his first true loss. However, Vai Cavalo is still reeling from an injury. Meanwhile, The Demolition Man has gradually become one of the top Heavyweights in all of MMA. No matter who he defends against, be it Fedor or Werdum, Overeem needs to beat them to gain a notable victory and solidify his status.

Joe Warren vs. Joe Soto II. This is a battle I would love to see happen again in Bellator. Soto is a steady fighter. Not well known yet, but he's definitely one to keep your eye on. He won the Bellator 145lb title by winning their first tournament. He did well in his non-title bouts and was completely decimating the Bellator Season 2 tournament champion Warren until the second round came and Warren stunned the crowd, Soto's corner, and Soto himself by TKOing him and taking the strap. Im hoping Bjorn Rebney puts these two back in the cage for a rematch.

Court McGee vs. Chris Leben. Leben has looked fantastic in his last 2 bouts. He's won his last 3, but the TKO of Aaron Simpson and a Submission over Yoshihiro Akiyama 2 weeks later, made everyone take notice of The Crippler again. With that, McGee seriously impressed me in his PPV debut against Ryan Jensen. Jensen is a very tough and experienced fighter and it looked as if Jensen was a step too high for McGee, until the second round and McGee showed why he's the TUF 11 champion. Eventually submitting Jensen in the 3rd. This has all the makings to be a Fight of the Night. The Crippler vs. The Crusher!!!

Alan Belcher vs. Michael Bisping. Belcher has steadily improved since the controversial loss to Akiyama as has Bisping. Bisping is getting close to a title shot and Belcher has been saying he's ready for a title shot. If this fight were made, I would think the winner would be pretty close to being next in line at 185.

Ryan Bader vs. Jon Jones. I cannot wait for this matchup to happen. Bader solidified himself at 205 by defeating Little Nog. Jones has been called a future champion. Nothing more to say about this one. I will have no problems forking over $45 to see this one.

Excellent list.I like to see .......

Carlos condit vs GSP (GSP has dominated everyone with the ground and pound carlos is great at scrambling on the ground and has a good triangle. He beats people in there backyard i.e Hardy by KO who was the number 1 contender.)

Joe warren vs Joe soto
(In my opinion joe is lucky to have that belt considering he was dominated by soto AND barely made it out alive against pitbull in the tournament when the ref saved him in the choke.)

Brock vs Carwin 2 (Considering it went 2 rounds and it went back and forth)

+1 for Gilbert Melendez vs Eddie Alvarez (Too break the walls of politics in mma and show UFC that its not about the promotion but the fighters.)

Jose Aldo vs Kenny Florian( Now that aldo turns down a solid opponent I really want to see it.)

Vitor Belfort vs Waderlei Silva (REMATCH!)

Vitor Belfort vs Anderson Silva(Tittle Match. I want to see someone beat Him atleast the title stays in brazil either way)

Chis leben vs wanderlei silva(“Wanderlei was supposed to take this fight, I want him next,â€￾ said Leben. He said this after the victory over Yoshihiro Akiyama. They both standup someone will be K.O'ed!)

Melendez and Alvarez both need to go to the UFC for this fight to happen. Honestly, neither have much left in their promotion to prove.

So many come to mind but one big one that I see happening for sure and most likely happening soon would be Dan Hardy vs Josh Koscheck. So much heat behind this fight as Koscheck was pissed Hardy was given a title fight before him so some trash was talked and I'm sure there's still bad blood. Weather or not Josh Koscheck beats GSP (I'm hoping he does) a fight with Dan Hardy will soon follow.

If Koscheck beats GSP it will not happen he(Hardy) had his shot at the title.and Hardy just got KOed.If Koscheck losses then im sure it will happen. For that reason I hope Koscheck losses.

Pumpt, I hate to correct you dude, but Junior dos Santos is only a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. You know me, brotha, I've got OCD when it comes to facts in MMA :p

I definitely agree with a majority of the matchups listed here. The only one I don't exactly agree with is Soto vs. Warren II. I've always had a philosophy about title rematches: if the fight goes to a close decision, that's a cause for a rematch. But if either guy (champion or challenger) is stopped, there shouldn't be a rematch, especially if there are other guys in line for a shot at the title. No disrespect to Joe Soto, who is a hell of a fighter. But the facts don't lie: the guy got knocked out.

One fight I can't wait for is Rich Franklin vs. Forrest Griffin. This has the makings of an absolute scrap. This is one of those fights that definitely wont end early, I see it going to a decision. Can't really call a winner, though.

Another fight I've been wanting to see for a LONG time is Jon Jones vs. any top 5 Light Heavyweight in the UFC. "Bones" has all the potential in the universe to be a top 5 fighter, he just hasn't been given the opportunity to show it yet. Hopefully his fight with Ryan Bader at UFC 126 can show that he's ready for the top tier of fighters.

One that was listed that I DEFINITELY agree with is Hardy vs. Koscheck. On the DVD of UFC 113, on the "Behind the Scenes" featurette, it showed the Koscheck vs. Daley fight from Dan Hardy's perspective. Now mind you, Dan Hardy is a training partner of Paul Daley. And Hardy had some choice words for "Kos" throughout the fight. Hardy flat-out called him a pussy for faking the knee to the head in the first round, he screamed it to the cage! I would think that Hardy would love to get the chance to break Koscheck's jaw should he lose to GSP next month.

And I disagree with phantomgerald about Melendez and Alvarez "needing to go to the UFC" for a fight between them to happen. I think that a fight of that caliber could do very well as the main event of a Strikeforce card, with it being the bigger promotion of the two. Do you really think that Scott Coker and Bjorn Rebney would let go of two top 10 lightweights like Melendez and Alvarez (respectively)?
