As promised, here are the pros and cons of Total Nonstop Action Wrestling...CROSS THE LINE!!!
Cons:
I'll get the bad stuff out of the way first. I don't know if its just me, but I'm not feeling Sting's title reign so far. People say they forgot Joe was champion while he had the belt...well, I completely forgot that Sting even had the belt this past Thursday night on iMPACT! Thats probably the writer's faults since the title is basically overlooked now because of the Main Event Mafia vs New Generation feud, but still. Sting as a World Champion sucks imo, Samoa Joe was a much better champion but instead they screwed him out of the title and left us with yet another screwjob finish at THEIR BIGGEST PPV OF THE YEAR. While the match was great, I think the run in by Nash was unacceptable. If you want Sting to win the Title that bad, then just have him win cleanly and have Nash turn on Joe on iMPACT! where heel turns SHOULD take place. People don't pay money to see feuds get set up, they pay money to see feuds END. TNA needs to learn that.
Whats up with the TNA Legends title? I'm confused as fuck about this, I posted a thread about it a few days ago and I think its safe to say this idea isn't working. Imo the sole reason for a mid-card belt is to elevate young guys who aren't quite ready for the main event, but need some kind of push. The Legends Title, a belt which (from what I understand) is a belt just for veterans makes no sense. Veterans already have credibility, they don't need Titles. I read this somewhere on here, and I think I'm going to agree. The sole reason for the creation of this belt is so Booker T can be a champion.
Why did Taylor Wilde lose the Knockouts title? I'm a Taylor Wilde fan so this bothers me...but I think I'm pretty much alone on this one, so I'll stop here lol.
The X-Division isn't emphasized enough. Jay Lethal and Sheik Bashir had a 2 minute match this past Thursday on iMPACT!. nuff said...
The pros:
TNA just came off a great LIVE edition of iMPACT! where they proved they can hang with the big promotions. The production values were through the roof, and TNA iMPACT! actually has a theme song now! Not that stupid generic music bullshit. Also, the actual quality of the show was great. They did a great job of advancing storylines...hmm, speaking of that
I am LOVING the Main Event Mafia/New Generation feud. The entire company is involved, and it will only lead to success. TNA has me hooked with this, I can't wait to see whats going to happen next. Hopefully the New Generation gets put over, but only time will tell...
Beer Money's TNA Tag Team Title reign is awesome, I am really starting to like Beer Money too. They can work a comedic style, and a serious one. Not to mention, they are a great heel team and they really add something to TNA's tag division
Abyss is finally getting pushed! Except for the Guns, I think TNA is doing a great job of putting everyone where the belong on the card. Especially Abyss, rumors are going around that The Monster might main event Turning Point against Kurt Angle! That could be awesome, Abyss deserves it. After everything he's done for TNA, Russo and everyone else on the booking team is doing the right thing here.
The TNA Knockouts continue to out-wrestle the "divas" of the WWE. Even though I'm pissed that Taylor lost the title, I'm interested to see where they go with Kong as champion.
And finally, the TNA product overall is pretty good right now. It is can't miss TV, and probably the most exciting wrestling promotion in the world. There are so many things going on, so many feuds and storylines to keep up with. As much as you people like to hate on Russo, you have to admit, he's starting to do a pretty good job. iMPACT! and TNA PPVs go by very quickly, they are very fun to watch. Combine lots of great feuds and storylines, and awesome wrestling, and you have a great product. TNA has its problems, but the product doesn't suffer too much from them. I enjoy watching TNA every week, I hope they can keep this up
