Okay...so where do I begin?
Oh yeah...from the start.
So as most of you around here know...I'm a big fan of the women's division & have
basically been obsessing over it ever since (&b before) I joined this forum.
Now since I've been here I have been suggesting (and sometimes outright demanding)
that the women's division be given more high profile matches & the same opportunities
afforded to the men on the roster...and now...well...we are getting the first ever Women's
Royal Rumble.
Now...I do have my concerns...and I still remember being incredibly pissed off with the
entire "Ellsworth MitB" incident (& in a way I still am) but I know I have to lower my expectations...
because honestly...this is the WWE we are talking about.
As far as the women's division goes...whenever they potentially have a great idea its like
they are telling me they're going to buy me puppy...only for me to come down the stairs
on Christmas morning to find a bunch of Korean take out containers under the tree.
But...(Emma's Butt!)
I intend to keep my expectations in check & keep a positive frame of mind...no matter
what happens & no matter how many "wrestling fans" decide to shit on this match.
I will (& must be) positive about this...no matter who I think SHOULD win and no
matter who actually does win.
Now even I understand this women's rumble could be the wrestling equivalent of
watching "A Serbian Film" (DO NOT WATCH A SERBIAN FILM! YOU HAVE BEEN
WARNED!) and this maybe the only time it happens...especially if the crowd doesn't
get behind the match...but at least the WWE is taking a chance & giving nearly every
woman from RAW, SmackDown & NXT (I think) a chance to shine on the second biggest
stage of the year.
Now I will admit...I have many, many spots & ideas of what I want to see take
place in this match...and I have to realize that its possible I will see none of them.
But...that's not going to stop me from listing a few of them here...
~ Charlotte & Alexa don't need to be on commentary...if you want to have a
woman on the call team...get Renee Young, Lita or Beth Phoenix...and just for
fun...if its Lita or Beth...have them be in the Rumble itself.
~ Oh...& the WWE just announced Stephanie McMahon will be on commentary for the
match itself...which is better than her being in the match itself...but I'd honestly rather
have Renee Young, Lita, Beth or Trish on the announce team than Stephanie...but I
guess we have to take the good with the bad.
~ Also...please don't let Stephanie McMahon enter & win the match...please don't do that.
~ In fact Charlotte & Alexa should actually be in this match. I mean they don't need to
be...but why not have them involved? It couldn't hurt & I could honestly believe that both
women would actually want to be in the match...especially considering its such a big deal
for the entire division.
~ NO MEN ARE TO BE ENTERED OR INVOLVED IN THE MATCH!
No Ellsworth, No Santino...this match is for the women & only the women.
~ Okay...so who draws #1 & #2? Well...I'd give Naomi #1 so she can do her
"Glowing" entrance & get the crowd pumped up & #2...Well...keep the lights
off & cue this music...
Yep...give Nikki Cross #2 & make her the first of the NXT ladies to appear.
~ #3...Becky Lynch...& I'd book Becky as the Iron woman of this match...
she should go the distance & either win it...or the last to be eliminated.
I also want to see Becky & Nikki Cross square off...so I'd have them end up
on the outside, brawling at ringside...let Becky put Nikki through a table or
vice versa.
Honestly...I'd be happy for Becky, Sasha or Bayley to be the Iron woman of the
match...but I'm leaning more towards Becky...mainly because Becky managed
to keep some of her dignity during her feud with Alexa.
~ I'd also have Becky, Sasha & Bayley team up at some point in the match...
and it would make sense as all 3 of them are faces.
~ Peyton Royce & Billie Kay should make their entrance together...and this
would make even more sense if one of them draws an early number & simply
doesn't "show up" until the other does with a later number.
Has anyone ever actually done that in a Rumble match? Like their number
is up but they simply don't show up until later in the match.
~ Nia Jax & Carmella both need to put in a strong showing in this match...
in fact...I'd also be happy for Carmella to be the Iron woman. She needs
something more than the briefcase...and you know she ain't winning the
rumble itself because she has that very item.
~ There are 3 factions in the women's division...and I don't think it will
be possible to get all 9 women in those factions in the ring at the same
time...but if the WWE want to try...good luck to them.
~ I also think the WWE should use this rumble match as an opportunity to
break up these female factions. I don't think any of them really work & they
feel like an easy way for the creative team to book the women's division. Let
all of these women stand on their own.
~ Having Nia & Tamina actually "team up" during the match would be a cool...
I mean...they are related & they would have to know their combined size &
power would give them a better chance of making it to the end.
Plus...this could be a great way to "clear the ring" midway or late in the match...
because I doubt the WWE bookers will want too many women in the ring at once.
~ Okay...so looking back at Survivor Series...Asuka eliminated all 3 members
of "The Welcoming Committee" (DUMB NAME WILL ALWAYS BE DUMB!) so I
wouldn't be surprised if they are the group who removes Asuka from the match.
Of course...that's actually taking "continuity" into account...so who really knows?
~ It would only make sense for Asuka & Nia to fall victim to "Swarming
Eliminations" and I hope the WWE understands the importance of booking the
entire division to use their intelligence.
~ I would personally have Alexa Bliss get involved in the match (if she isn't
an entrant) to try & take out Asuka...and this way even if Asuka doesn't win...
It will give Angle a reason to book a title match between Asuka & Alexa at
Elimination Chamber.
(Of course I think the Women are due for an Elimination Chamber Match...but more
on that at a later date)
~ An Asuka/Kairi Sane showdown would be awesome...but them teaming up would
be even better.
~ Also...if Ember Moon is in the match...she should totally eliminate Asuka...
as she really needs that.
Of course...I doubt she will be involved now after her TakeOver match.
~ I really don't think Asuka needs to win this match...but if she does...that's
better than Ronda winning it...but from what I've heard "around the traps" Ronda
& Asuka will be the final 2 with Ronda eliminating Asuka. Asuka will then win the
title at E.C setting up a title match with Ronda with Asuka's streak also on the
line at Wrestlemania.
~ I'm happy for former WWE stars to return...but...the current women need to be
the top priority & shouldn't be made to look like weak sauce.
~ I honestly want Becky Lynch or Ruby Riott to win the actual match...and they have
laid some ground work for a proper Charlotte/Ruby feud...and Charlotte & Becky having
a title match at Wrestlemania would just be perfect for them.
~ Liv Morgan or Lana should totally last less than a minute. Sorry Ladies..but better
one of you than anyone else.
+++
Well...that about covers my thoughts & ideas...and with that...I will finish with 2
final statements.
1). All I want is for the match to be entertaining & successful so it doesn't just
become a one off match that the WWE never tries again.
&
2). I will not be on the forum (or the internet in general) until I have had a chance
to watch the women's rumble & I will be recording a "commentary track" for the match
itself the first time I watch it which will be posted here on the forum for everyone (or no
one) to download and listen to.
Why would I do this?
Because I can.
Well...I will now take my leave & I hope that all the members here enjoy the entire
Rumble event...but as you can tell...there is only one match I really care about and
I have to admit...I'm really looking forward to it.
Take care, enjoy the Rumble & I'll see you all around the traps...in a day or 2.
