The Butcher suffered torn bicep on Dynamite

The Butcher tore his biceps on AEW Dynamite this past Wednesday.

Bryan Alvarez reported on today’s edition of Wrestling Observer Live that The Butcher tore his bicep during a tag match on AEW Dynamite. He teamed with regular partner The Blade in a losing effort against Orange Cassidy and NJPW’s Tomohiro Ishii. Butcher has been touring with his band Every Time I Die while also appearing on Dynamite.

Butcher, along with Blade and The Bunny, have been regularly teaming since their debut for AEW in 2019. In the last year, they have aligned themselves with Matt Hardy as part of the Hardy Family Office stable with The Hybrid 2 and Private Party. In recent weeks, Hardy has been feuding with Orange Cassidy, who he defeated on AEW Rampage last Friday. Cassidy and the rest of the Best Friends have since joined NJPW’s Chaos stable, leading to the tag match this week with Chaos stablemate Ishii.

Well this sucks. Especially since Tony Khan made it sound like Butcher didn't have to be on Dynamite this week if he wanted to stay with the band. Sounded like it was Butchers decision to return...and he got injured.
