at the time it seems like it because of some feuds or programs that demand certain crossovers or even a title unification at Mania, but I wouldn't say they're nixing the whole format. Personally, I hope they don't give up on it but especially now, with their new FOX deal, it's more likely that they'll let big Raw stars take over some spots on Smackdown to really impress new viewers. That's why I think the Superstar Shake Up™ could actually be quite important this year around

Well, looking from that they are putting both championships on the line for the women, one would think that they are gonna go back to single brand. Also with the women's tag title being on both shows... However I am not sure they will drop the brand expansion so fast, maybe they are gonna do a brand only for women who knows.

The brand split isn't going anywhere. What we are expiring now is called a soft brand split. A brand split is crucial with the depth of roster. As the mcmahons are working together and there are no gms, competition is no longer a thing. Therefore the restrictions of a brand split are no longer enforced as much.

The roster is way too big to end the Brand extension right now, WWE would have ro release way too many wrestlers and that would be very bad press.

It will end when they move to Fox, it doesn't make any sense at that point. They're going to want all the major stars on Fox, and they're not taking everyone off RAW and leaving them with no one.

Everytime they have done that in the past, one of the shows become extremely inferior. Meaning shitter quality of product. Bad idea.

IIRC USA wanted the brand split back because 2011-2016 Smackdown was such a dead show, lol.

It's WWE. The name draws, plus by modern day standards SDL has plenty of star power on it (assuming they're keeping them off Raw after Mania). Kofi, Becky, Charlotte, Bryan, Styles, Joe, Hardy, Orton, Miz...

2011 and 2016 were good years for Smackdown. The years between were shit though.
