As announced on this week's episode of Impact, TNA will be holding this year's Slammiversary pay-per-view at The Palace of Auburn Hills in Detroit, Michigan on June 21st. Tickets for the event go on sale Friday, May 8th.

The arena holds up to 24,276 seats for a center-stage concert, and 23,000 for an end-stage concert. This will be by far the biggest arena TNA has ever held an event in stateside. An MMA event recently held at The Palace only drew 3,000 fans.

wow, aren't they jumping the gun a little bit? 24,276 seats!? HOLY SHIT!! This is a WWE sized arena, there's no way TNA can draw that many people

Thoughts?

24,000 paying customers? Fuck no. They'll be lucky to get 2000 paying customers.

So this year Slammiversary will be the flagship PPV? So much for Bound for Glory, lol.

Anyway, yeah, overly ambitious. There's no way TNA will sell this out.

I'll say it again. TNA should bring in Ron Artest for some kind of angle. That alone will help sell about 5,000 tickets.

they would have to pay to many security guards to keep him from fighting those 5000 fans. it would be a loss. :stab:

Let's hope this doesn't end up like BFG where half the arena is empty. I was there...I should know. Yes, it was half empty.

Or, by a fluke, they could sell heaps of tickets?

They always just tarp the unused areas off anyways, so it's not at all a big deal.

If I am psycho enough to try and fly to Michigan, I may just buy a ticket due to the fact that you know its going to be dirt cheap as hell. I'll buy enough for the whole family! lol
