I meant his last couple of films. Amores Perros and 21 Grams I both really like. But since then he has relied on that sort of structure too much without moving forward as a filmmaker. So the films have become too artsy just for the sake of it, and so they lack the focus of his first two films. Which is why I am glad to see him move in a different direction with this.
