The NXT invasion has to be the best angle in 5 years, I'm in absolute shock at how pure AWESOME it was. Punk and Cena were having a decent TV match, then out of nowhere Wade Barrett came out from the stage (which made perfect sense since he's technically a contracted superstar) and through the crowd came the rest of season 1's rookies. I loved how they completely destoryed the arena, beating up the announcers, destroying the ring and the protective wall, it was fucking great to watch. Poor Justin Roberts got his ass kicked too, they even choked him out with his own tie! This is definitely the edgiest angle we're getting with the PG rating, and I honestly don't have a problem with that. This could be the angle that really shakes things up again, it all depends on where they go with it.

With that said, where are they going with it? Are the NXT guys the ones who took out Undertaker? Are they setting up a huge NXT vs WWE faction warfare angle? Do you guys believe this was the best angle in 5 years?

P.S: No bitching from you foreigners plz, I don't want to see a post saying "omg I didn't get to see RAW yet here in Zimbabwe, can you please not post a thread like this?". No, fuck off, the WWE and the RAW TV program are based out of the UNITED STATES and if you didn't see it yet, tough shit

Discuss!

It's posted in the Raw discussion thread.

Easily the best angle in 5 or more years.

I am surprised at how well this angle got over. I admit it was kinda cool, but where are they going to go with it. Half the guys on NXT were garbage. You had total babyfaces beating up announcers. Is it really worth pushing all these guys with an a main event angle? I'm not sold on this being the best angle in 5 years by any means. It was a good ending, but it needs to lead to something. Basically it seems like they are trying to do a NWO thing with NXT. We shall see i guess. (Personally i think SES should be getting this major push)

As far as best Angles....Taker vs HBK ...career vs. steak....HHH vs. Orton fued around wm 25...Ric Flair's retirement. .... I thought all those were pretty well done. Nothing has really stood out much.

It was cool, but best angle in five years? I don't think so. What I see is a bunch of rookies who half shouldn't even be there getting a push over a lot of other more deserving guys.

There has been some good angles between 2005-2010. Batista vs Triple H feud going into Mania 21 was excellent. Ric Flairs retirement angle. The Raw vs ECW angle from 2005. And the entire Edge vs John Cena feud was very good in 2006.

It has potential to be an interesting feud but lets not get ahead of our selves and say this is going to be a historical angle.

This is the best angle Ive seen from the WWE in a long time. They wanted to make a statement and they did. The beatdown was VERY convincing, albeit it was a little long but I didn't care because for the 7 minutes they were on, I was shocked. Oh yeah, Michael Cole is eventually going to become their manager.

Well these rookies made the show last night. And eventually, these rookies are the future of this business.

Fucking awesome! I am literally gob smacked. I have just finished watching Raw on DM and I am amazed at this. I must admit at first I thought this was about the Taker thing just from the title which I avoided. This was awesome but I do feel sorry for poor Justing Roberts. I must admit I was not expecting this one atall but I really like it. So now it seems obvious that NXT beat up Taker, I have to wonder if this would have happened if Taker didn't get injured. So yeah I can see NXT vs WWE.... actually, no wait, NXT vs MOD with MOD consisting of Kane (obvious), TGK, Rey, HHH, Christian, Edge, Orton (Edge and Orton joining forces to fight for respect) and a returning Undertaker, perhaps a few changes here and there but there are 3 from the original there. Only problem I have with this is that over faces, JG and Heath (no matter how much you hate him you gotta admit he is over), have been made heel.

This was good. Not FANTASTIC, but good compared to most of WWE's stuff they put out now. Was kinda wishing at the end it was headed by Daniel Bryan though, since he has been the driving force of Rookie vs Pro since he got eliminated.

A bunch of nobodies beating up Cena, who half of which look like fucking blueberries who will never get anywhere in the business, (hi Heath Slater and Darren Young) is the 'best angle in 5 years'? Rofl? Talk about an overreaction to something UNPREDICTABLE that the WWE did. And I agree with Beer, more focus on Danielson. Honestly who the fuck cares about 3/4 of these guys? None of the audience sure did. The only thing that could legitimately push this to the awesome point was like someone stated, if Michael Cole becomes their heel manager and their looks are revamped and they don't look like random blueberries thrown together from a failure of a show. Aside from that, I liked the brutality and sheer 'realistic' nature of it, and the fact that the ENTIRE show sucked and it was like the WWE knew it and wanted this to stand out as the only point of Raw.

The only ones I see as future of the WWE is Wade Barrett and Brian Danielson everyone else will be jobbers or put into a failed tag team experience ala Bam Meeley, Curt Hawkins, and so many others before them.

Like many others have said, its good... Damn good imo, but its far to early to start calling it fantastic. Other than Danielson, Barrett and possibly Otunga and Gabriel who could be a serious player in the WWE?

But like Beer said, as much as I don't really care for Danielson I think it would have made much more sense for him to be the focal point of this group rather than Barrett, he won NXT. He shouldn't even care about the "losers' (also LOL at the "You are losers" chants during RAW)
