Over the course of more than two dozen Hell in a Cell matches, one truism has remained constant: Once Superstars enter the unforgiving steel structure, their careers are never quite the same.Hell in a Cell has been home to daunting stories-high falls, treacherous introductions of steel and flesh, and monumental World Title changes. But which Hell in a Cell matches were the absolute best? Not just the most barbaric, but also dramatic and emotional, the kind of long-awaited, expectation-shattering showdowns between Superstars that helped define Hell in a Cell’s legacy as WWE’s gravest combat zone?

Really surprised Taker vs. Mankind only made it to five. Not saying I disagree with it, hell I actually really don't care for the match and consider it one of the most overrated bouts in wrestling but I figured the overwhelming love it gets from the community along with providing two of the greatest spots in all of wrestling history would've ranked it closer to the top. As for the actual list, it was okay but I disagree with it in a lot of places. First of all, DX vs. The McMahons & Big Show was a terrible match and one of the worst in my opinion. I also always thought the six-man was overrated and I'd place Lesnar/Taker much higher on the list than eighth. Never seen Edge vs. Taker yet (sadly, it's the only Hell in a Cell match that I haven't seen that I want to) so it wouldn't make my list either but I assume the match is quality. My top ten would probably look something like this . . .

X. Undertaker vs. Mankind ~ Yeah, I'd rank it this low. The only entertaining parts of the match are the spots and I don't even think that's a third of the match. Love the spots but I need more than two spots at the beginning to really attach to match and this one just didn't provide anything else for me. Luckily for this match, I don't really think highly of the other Cell matches I've watched and this one at least has something positive to remember.
IX. The Six-man on at Armageddon ~ It was good but just didn't too much for me outside of select moments. Maybe if I revisit it I'll look at it in a different light but at the moment I'd only rank it ninth.
VIII. Triple H vs. Chris Jericho ~ I don't think this match had any big spots but I liked it for that. Liked the finish and I loved the stuff with the ref getting knocked on his ass.
VII. Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels ~ I understand why this match sometimes get backlash from the internet community but I liked it even though it was long as hell and probably had a bunch of rest time (I admittedly don't remember it all too well).
VI. Batista vs. Undertaker ~ Perhaps the most unpopular match on this list but I really liked this and pretty much all of the Batista/Taker matches.
V. Triple H vs. Batista ~ Probably the best match for personify what the Hell in a Cell match is. Just a real brutal, rough match and that's exactly why I like it so much.
IV. Brock Lesnar vs. Undertaker ~ I just remember this being a really brutal, well-wrestled match that generated a lot of excitement/intensity. Have to rewatch this one as it may deserve to be in the top three over what I'm actually going with.
III. Undertaker vs. Triple H ~ Just a fantastic story but watching it live with my friend & dad (as opposed to years after and by myself) really puts this one over for me. Nothing like watching two people with complete opposite reactions when both parties were actually tricked into thinking the Streak was over while I smirked at that for buying into it.
II. Cactus Jack vs. Triple H ~ My favorite Foley match and probably my favorite Triple H match as well (though his match with Shawn at the end on Raw at the end of 04 is right up there too). It's holsters my personal favorite spot in any Hell in a Cell match.
I. Shawn Michaels vs. Undertaker ~ One of the only matches I'd give a perfect score to, it has just about everything. Including my favorite debut of a wrestler ever with Kane.

The six man cell was by far my favorite, my second would be cactus jack vs. Triple H, that was so hardcore, the others its hard to decide an order.
