the only thing I can think of is that all three were double champions with the intercontinental title as the common belt. Also the other belts consist of the 3 other primary singles titles or at least what used to be since the European title is defunct now.

The answer I was looking for was Winners of Matches where one side of the match was defending multiple singles titles..... Kurt Angle defended the IWGP & TNA World Titles to Samoa Joe defending his X-Division & Tag Titles in which Angle took all, Shawn Michaels as IC Champ and Kevin Nash as WWE Champion defended to World Tag Team Champs also defending where Nash & HBK took all, and Santino & Beth won the IC & Women's titles beating former champs Kofi & Mickie in a tag match.
