As I was posting about in the chatbox yesterday, Tony Nese has been on an absolute tear in this TEW game, signing with TNA and winning both the X Division and World Championship with a year :DEAD:

Now another hilarious ass development in TNA... it's mid 2016 and Dixie has been removed from CEO (assuming this is built in to mirror real life) but rather than Billy Corgan taking her place it's none other than fellow carny Court Bauer who is now CEO of TNA :DEAD2:

Thinking of running a company in the 1992 based in Texas with Terry Funk as the owner. Anybody got any good name suggestions for me? I'm going for a kind of classic World Class product, something between Hokey Southern Wrestling Classic Southern Wrestling, or any Hardcore Product.

Sounds like a fun company idea to run, I have a save in a 92 database somewhere and early 90s is so volatile and fun. As for a name idk I'm so bad at thinking of them but to not be completely useless I'd try and avoid anything "regional" in the name like "Texas" or "Southern" just bc at that time I think most people would have been turned off by anything that isn't more nationally branded, like how Mid-South became universal. On the flip side, if Funk was essentially trying to cater to the more old school fans that don't like the national WWF, he could not feel that way lol

Yeah I'm basically thinking of having a company run by Dory and Terry based in Texas, but it's a more regional promotion first, getting bigger over time with local talent. I know for certain Booker T and Stevie Ray are gonna be some of my first hires, same with Steve Austin too if he's available, maybe Cactus Jack.

Harlem Heat would be great hires, they were killing the Texas indie scene. Wasn't the Global fed on ESPN taped in Texas at least some of the time too? Could probably scour their cards for some realistic gems to hire. One of my coworkers ex-husband's actually worked for them as a jobber, she told me a story of partying with him and Harlem Heat :DEAD:

I created a fictional territory company called Third Coast Wrestling if you're interested in the logo for it

So I decided on the name of my company since it's gonna be a regional promotion, but it's got a lot of punch to it:

Yeah, I figured it was the perfect product between Hokey Southern Wrestling and Hardcore. Felt like Terry Funk would have taken this choice too

I’m wanting to start something but I’m not sure exactly what I want to do lol. All I know is I wanna start a decent size indie company, so I can get some good talent, but nothing to big either. So medium I suppose. Just not sure of my owner, and I think maybe early 2010s is when I’ll have it set. Like no later than 2013. Any suggestions? Owners, name, style. Stuff like that.

As a side note to my game, AAA, DTU and IWRG all ended up closing in this game, leaving CMLL and The Crash as the only lucha companies, and Crash isn't even very big.

So, I took the WWA Mexico logo from the Tverse and went ahead and manually opened up this new company. I made Perro Aguayo Jr. the owner after looking over all the unemployed Mexican stars, it was a pretty easy choice given he's one of the country's biggest stars and is already known as a promoters for his PDM shows. Basically, I built the roster out with young, unemployed stars in the region who I feel need developed (Flamita, Bandido, both Lucha Bros who were previously working in AAA, Raul Mendoza, Garza Jr., El Hijo del Vikingo etc.), as well as a bunch of Aguayo's associates in Perros del Mal and a bunch of the associates of the Familia de Tijuana like Bestia 666, X-Fly, Halloween, etc. Most of the rest of the roster are low level unemployed guys. I also threw in Titan for good measure.
