Tentative plans for top Armageddon matches

PWInsider.com reports that Chris Jericho vs. Randy Orton and Batista vs. Edge vs. The Undertaker are tentatively scheduled to main-event the upcoming Armageddon pay-per-view.

At press time, sources also believed a third Armageddon match would involve Jeff Hardy vs. Snitsky in some capacity. One possible scenario would be a tag match also featuring Triple H and Umaga.

WWE Armageddon takes place on December 16 at the Mellon Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.


if those two main events do take place,it will be huge..but itwould be more interesting if shawn micheals also gets a look in the title match..

Well, WHC match set to be as a triple threat.. so it would be a wrong decision to set the WWE title match in the same form, therefore, i dont think that a triple threat match would take place in Armageddon. As what i think that HBK will feud with Kennedy.

A tag match between HBK & Jericho vs. Orton & Kennedy could be a fact.

it's way too soon....I'm thinking a tag match can be something but if the tittle will be defended then Orton will get disqualified

Maybe someone comes out and screws jericho over leading to a fued between jericho and whoever screwed him over, honestly it's too early for the jericho era to restart

HBK Vs Kennedy, if it were to take place, it would be a fantastic match and a great push for Kennedy.

I think Jericho's deal guarenteed him a WWE Title....so, this could be the perfect opportunity to get it out of the way. I'm really looking forward to Jericho/Orton and HBK/Kennedy, Tista/Taker/Edge will be great too....Snitsky/Hardy won't be good...

I see possible that Jericho vs Orton takes place, and in the match someone comes in and screws him, he then feuds with whoever interferes in the match until the Rumble and then goes on to challenge. Altough I dont see how a Jericho reign, who is face, would fit so close to Wrestlemania, where we know that the King of Kings will go back to his throne.

If that's two matches on the card, I'll most definitely be watching. Let's just hope it'll be the first PPV in awhile with two or more matches of BOTH ECW superstars.

Its too soon to be starting a Jericho vs. Orton title match.

My dream card for Armageddon would be this....

Ric Flair vs. Santino Morella (this will be a great fued for Flair to come back to especially if Santino comes out next week before Flair shows up, saying its garbage that everyone is looking forward to Flair when Santino is a much better wrestler)

Kane vs. Big Daddy V (just cause you got to get this a PPV blow off to end this fued I think)

Triple H & Jeff Hardy vs. Umaga & Snitsky

Shawn Michaels & Chris Jericho vs. Randy Orton & Mr. Kennedy

US Title Match MVP vs. Matt Hardy (though Hardy is out now so so much for that I guess so maybe MVP defending to Rey Mysterion instead)

Women's TItle Match Beth Phoenix vs. Mickie James

WWE Tag Team Title Match John Morrison & The Miz vs. CM Punk & Balls Mahoney

and the Main Event of the evening.....






ELIMINATION CHAMBER for the WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE!!!!
Batista vs. The Undertaker vs. Edge vs. The Great Khali vs. Finlay vs. Mark Henry (now obviously the main focus would be Batista, Taker & Edge. Henry, Khali & Finlay just thrown in for flavour but also a chance to progress the Khali & Finlay buisness. Maybe have Hornswoggle somehow get inside the chamber and somehow help Finlay.

Well the reason I wouldn't put the ECW Title on the line is because I don't think it needs to be on the line on every PPV. Just as I don't think the WWE or World Title need to be either. I also agree that ECW needs to be featured more in PPV's. Every PPV there is usually 8 matches and 4 are usually Raw, 3 are Smackdown & 1 ECW. I think it should be a tad more balanced with 3 Raw, 3 Smackdown & 2 ECW. I also think that only 1 of the 3 main titles needs to be on the line at every PPV with the exception being maybe WM & Summer Slam. 2 is okay as well. But all 3 every ppv creates repetiveness and no time to really build anything good.
