6 years later, three members of team Canada have been solo standouts, of the midcard. Each with sucessful, respectful careers. A-1 never really panned out, but who do you say has been the most sucessful.

Eric Young-

NWA TNA World Tag Team titles w/Bobby Rude defeating James Storm & Chris Daniels (October 15, 2004);
NWA TNA World Tag Team titles w/Bobby Rude defeating Ron Killings & BG James (December 5, 2004);
TNA (Total Nonstop Action) Tag Team titles w/Kaz defeating Styles/Tomko and LAX [Immediately Stripped] (April 17, 2008);
TNA (Total Nonstop Action) X-Division title defeating Sheik Abdul Bashir [Unrecognized/Decision Reversed] (November 13, 2008);
TNA (Total Nonstop Action) X-Division title defeating Sheik Abdul Bashir [Unrecognized/Title Held Up] (December 7, 2008);
TNA (Total Nonstop Action) Legend's title (renamed Global title) defeating Kevin Nash and Hernandez (October 18, 2009);

Robert Roode

NWA TNA World Tag Team titles w/Eric Young defeating James Storm & Chris Daniels (October 15, 2004);
NWA TNA World Tag Team titles w/Eric Young defeating Ron Killings & BG James (December 5, 2004);
TNA World Tag Team titles w/James Storm defeating Homicide & Hernandez (August 10, 2008);
TNA World Tag Team titles w/James Storm defeating Creed/Lethal & Morgan/Abyss (January 11, 2009);
TNA World Tag Team titles w/James Storm defeating Team 3-D (June 21, 2009);

Petey Williams

TNA (Total Nonstop Action) X-Division title by winning a Gauntlet match (August 11, 2004);

TNA (Total Nonstop Action) X-Division title defeating The Black Machismo Jay Lethal (April 17, 2008);

I think you could argue for each guy. Who do you think?

Roode, without a doubt. They've really tried with Young more than any of the others, and even given him his own stable. However people never really embraced young and honestly just seems to be treading water no matter what position they put him in.
Roode on the other hand has maintained his popularity and probably even gained quite a bit since his Team Canada days. Beer Money is easily the most successful tag team to be formed in wrestling in a long time. I think it's only a matter of when the ball is given to Roode to when we'll actually see him reach his full potential. Both he and Storm have the potential to be amazing main eventers in their own right.

Also why is Petey Williams even a choice on this? LOL

I think Young, hes a good talent. All his gimmicks hes rolled with the ball and done well with it. I would say Roode but he had one singles program with Booker T, then got thrown in to Beer Money. Williams really good in X Division but got realised.

My choice is Young

It was good as they made one hell of a team but at the same time its bad as we can all see his singles potentional. Since he was a tag teamer TNA couldn't find better for him but all of us can.

Has to be Roode. Eric young is a joke and Petey Williams had a horrible run with Steiner and is now working the indie circuit. Now look at Roode, he's one half of what is probably the greatest tag team today and is working with stars such as RVD, Jeff Hardy, Sting etc...

I don't know, one could argue being released from TNA is a good thing, so I'm tempted to vote for Petey on that alone. haha

The word is successful and to be honest, none of them have been very successful, despite their title accomplishments. Success is determined by growth and for the most part, the two remaining members in TNA have been pretty stagnant.

While in Team Canada, Robert Roode (hey, remember when he was called Bobby?) and Eric Young usually teamed up and once Team Canada broke up, partners fought each other with Robert coming out on top and looking to make a name for himself as a valid upper card singles wrestler. Instead, that fizzled and he formed Beer Money with James Storm. While he's done well teaming up with James, it still feels like a step back for Robert's career.

Eric started as a paranoid, demure wrestler that started to grow as a character when he turned heel in 2009, but instead of creating a stable, he should have stayed a lone wolf. Eric had never proven to be a leader prior to World Elite and I just couldn't buy him as such. That the group fizzled out with a whimper only proves how bad of an idea it was. Now, he's feuding with Nash and Hall and I hope it leads to something bigger, but I have my doubts.

At the end of the day, I have to go with Eric Young. He isn't my ideal choice because I see a lot more potential from Robert Roode moving up the ladder, but Eric is the one who's grown the most, minor as it is.

Petey is on the list because of his sucess in pioneering the x-division. (not so much his run with Steiner) Probably had the greatest singles title run out of the group. Where as Roode has never held a single belt. I'd say it's between Young or Roode though. Young seems to have a bigger role, more opportunities, but Roode has done well in every angle he's been in with not as much backing behind him. He originally kinda threw in beer money, but that worked out well.

I'll have to go with Roode. Since Team Canada, he's had America's Most Wanted, his singles mid card run, and now Beer Money. Who are great as heels and faces. When the time comes for them to split, I hope it's mutual with them still liking each other, with either or both guys moving to the main event scene. Both guys have the potential to be something big. They've really progressed alot with their characters and in ring work.

I don't have a problem with EY. I like the guy. I think they've done good with erasing his joke career. But that's only what a year since he's turned serious. Give it time and he'll be better. I also didn't realize til now that he's been stripped of a lot of titles.

I'm no TNA historian but wasn't that Storm and Harris?

I voted for Roode mainly because since the breakup of Team Canada he is the only one who stayed consistantly on the air on a weekly basis. After Team Canada broke up he had his feud with Eric Young, then a few singles feuds before teaming up with Storm and forming Beer Money. He has all the potential in the world imo. I love me some Beer Money, but I am interested to see how Roode would work as a singles wrestler, I honestly liked his run in 2007, I felt that Beer Money was created initally to just give him and Storm something to do being that they both were just out of tag teams and Storm was really floundering.

EY, I honestly like. He has really changed drasticaly since his Team Canada days. He was a paranoid, comedy character that they fans got behind with his "Don't Fire Eric" chants. For awhile he kind of floated around doing his whole comedy routine. He really started to come into his own when he was given a more serious character and stable. He is really doing well for himself now imo. Much like Roode, I am interested to see where his career ends up. But I honestly cannot see him as a World Champion, Roode however I think could be a pretty good potential opponent for RVD.

Petey Williams was honestly one of my favorite TNA talents back in 2005-2006. It really pissed me off the way that he was shitted on before leaving TNA. He was imo just as important to the X Division a few years ago as guys like AJ, Daniels and Joe imo (The AJ/Williams match from Final Resoultion 2004 I think it was is one of my favorote X Division matches tbh) he really could have been a major player in TNA's mid-card and X division, but things happened the way that they did and he is really a non-factor in the debate.
