Following a story.
8:55 – I’m getting prepared for my first full viewing of TNA Impact. I’m nervous, and kind of anxious. This better be a good episode. A quick look at the non-spoiler preview tells me that we are in store for three, not two, not one, but THREE revealings of stuff. That could be a huge overkill. Who knows.

9:00 – Pssh, like Hulkster’s going to do anything.

9:02 – That’s just pathetic that they tried making a Goldberg reference to get people interested. I guess it’s kind of good business wise, but they are really going to extremes to get some “momentum†going.

9:03 – I’ve always been a bit of a Jeff Jarrett fan. He does some good work as a heel. Thing is, though, this personal life storyline between him and Kurt Angle is just bad. Almost as bad as Michael Cole bringing up Jerry Lawler’s dead mother. Not quite, because that’s far more horrible, but still, they do not need to bring in personal life bull shit like this.

9:05 – They couldn’t have edited out Jeff stuttering right there? C’mon!

9:07 – Guess this is one reason why TNA isn’t nearly as big as WWE. When the entrance music plays for a wrestler, I have zero clue who’s going to come out. I’m so use to Kurt having the Olympic music tunes while coming to the ring, even a good 5 years after he used it.

9:10 – I wish Kurt would return to WWE. Or at the very least be an actual main eventer in TNA.

9:14 – Yuck, Christy should not be out there as the ring announcer. Just yuck!

9:15 – What’s with the all of a sudden tension between Tara, and Madison Rayne? Weren’t they just BFF’s? Then Mickie mentions the “contract†being over, and she all of a sudden dislikes Madison.

9:17 – Yeah, Tara really needs to cut the “I don’t want to hurt her because she’s my friend†shit. It’s awkward as hell!

9:20 – This is too funny. “I had your back while you were getting fixed up, why don’t you have my back when I get fixed up!†This should be a sign that they are getting a little over age.

9:26 – This is ugly.

9:30 – Tommy Dreamer sounds like a prissy teenage girl who just started her period. Damn, want me to get you a tampon, babygirl?

9:31 – Don’t build him up like that , Stinger. We all know RVD is far from being the top high flyer, and ever farther from being the greatest mixed martial arts guy to grace a wrestling ring. The only thing he is would be the greatest pot head to fuck his life over.

9:40 – Hi, Matt Hardy!

9:44 – Braden Walker’s put on a few pounds since we last seen him. That double chin isn’t making it any easier to look at him.

9:49 – Sangriento just feels like an out of shape version of Sin Cara. Did TNA really think they’d get the press that WWE did by putting a masked luchador on television? Talk about stewpedo!

9:52 – I’m having a hard time caring at all about this match.

9:53 – That match was dull and I didn’t care at all for it, but damn that was a nice springboard RKO variation.

9:54 – I’m really not caring at all watching three douche bags limp to the ring. Gheesh! This is hell!

10:02 – Mick Foley is a wonderful addition. I know he’s been a part of TNA for sometime, but him as the Network Exec really opens up a lot of interesting storylines. Not going to lie, this could be a very good thing.

10:04 – Damn, Chyna has some huge tits! She looks a lot younger in the face, too. Weird.

10:10 – When TNA does these corny backstage promos, and corny reviews of shit that just happened, it just makes TNA seem more and more like a horribly weekly recap show.

10:11 – AHH! Chyna is so damn ugly.

10:12 – I thought that Mr. Anderson was a face? Huh?

10:13 – How do you guys put up with this shit? The format is just horrible!

10:14 – I’m hating Christy Hemme, just sayin’.

10:25 – I’ll be honest, the only reason I’m sticking with this episode is because of the battle royal. I love battle royals.

10:27 – All 25 are going to start the match out at the same time? Wow, talk about clusterfuck!

10:28 – Others may hate him, fact remains to this day, that I love him. He is and will be the future of TNA if, and only if, TNA starts booking him right. MRRRRRR. ANDERSOOOOOOOOOON.

10:30 – I’ll admit, Eric Young sitting on the outside waiting to get tagged in is hilarious!

Yeah, I couldn’t really take any more of that running diary shit. TNA just gives that feel that they are playing with us. It feels like it’s all a storyline to get the company better. Like they’re taking their good old time trying to turn things around. I realize that all of these little backstage promos are unique to TNA, but they are horrible. They desperately need to get rid of them. The other thing, as I mentioned above, is that the program has a total feel to it equal to being a recap show. That’s not a feel that they need to keep. The final thing is that TNA seriously needs to give that belt back to Mr. Anderson. Ratings were at the year highs during Anderson’s reign. I wish TNA the best in all future endeavors, but for now, I can’t do another one of these running diary’s on them. Expect a column over TNA in the near future, though!

Line of the Night –“Mrrrrrrrrr. Anderssssssonnnnnnnn†– Mr. Anderson

Match of the Night – 25 man Battle Royal

Performer of the Night – Eric Young
