Tasha Steelz has re-signed with Impact Wrestling.
The former Knockouts Champion revealed the news during an interview with Jim Varsallone released on Wednesday.
"I'm excited. Re-signing with Impact so Impact gets more flava and I'm glad to deliver it for the next few years," Steelz said. "Impact fans, I know they are very excited to hear the news. I'm excited, more flava."
She continued to talk about what she has been able to accomplish in the promotion since signing with Impact in May 2020.
"It's been great because I've been so fortunate from the time I started and me walking in at the right time in 2020 when everyone was, at the time, losing their jobs and I was gaining a job. It's been nothing but sky-high for me. Walking in, immediately Fire N Flava was formed and everyone knew Fire N Flava. Just eight months of us being formed we won the Knockouts Tag Team Championships and made history becoming the first Black females to win the Knockouts Tag Team Championships."
Steelz continued to talk about moving into the singles division after her team with Kiera Hogan broke up.
"Less than six months after that, I became the first Afro-Latina Knockouts World Champion and not only that but beating and defeating a legend. It's just been so great," she continued.
Steelz defeated Mickie James for the Knockouts title at Sacrifice on March 5, 2022. During her reign, she defended the title three times successfully in Impact against James, Rosemary, and Havok. Outside of Impact, she defended it against Big Swole in GCW and Queen Aminata for Battle Slam. Steelz dropped the belt to Jordynne Grace in a Queen of the Mountain match at Slammiversary.
She would also comment on what led to her decision to re-sign with Impact.
"If there's anybody that gives you that opportunity to really be yourself and just go out there and be yourself and not have to change you, it's definitely Impact, so, definitely have to stay here," she said.
