NoDQ.com > TNA > Details on Tara leaving TNA Wrestling
Posted by Mark Virginia on 04/28/2010 at 02:28 PM

There have been rumblings that TNA Knockout Tara may leave TNA when her contract is up next month.

She wrote the following on Twitter: "The one thing I can say about the rumors is that my contract is up on May 21st."

Reports say that Tara has asked for some time off and wants to focus more on her custom auto detail shop in Kentucky. There has also been issues between Tara and some of the other Knockouts. Sources say Tara is always making comments about how things have been done in WWE which has rubbed some people the wrong way.

Tara took to MySpace this afternoon with the following:

It appears that I'm winding down at TNA. Unfortunately some organizations "leak" information to wrestling websites to put their spin on a situation, to make sure they come out in the best light. Not me. I'm gonna say it. I'm gonna put my name on it. And I'm going to stand behind it.

I came to TNA last year because I still had a lot of wrestling left in me. I was paid a fraction of what I thought I deserved. But I wanted to show I was still at the top of my game. Now my contract is up in May. I want a modest pay increase. They don't want to pay me what I think is fair. I have no problem going my own way.

But about 12 hours after the conversation where we didn't agree on pay, unnamed sources claim that I am hard to work with and that I don't give my best effort. My only response is that TNA made an aggressive effort to re-sign me, among other things saying that they want to build the women's division around me. And I think wrestling fans see, both on TV and at live events, that I always give 100%. I take pride in that. Smearing me on the way out the door is an act of second rate character.

I take pride in making my best effort to elevate my own wrestling and the entire TNA Women's Division. If people were rubbed the wrong way in the process, I stand behind my work and my positive intentions.

In closing I will say this. In the few weeks that I have left in TNA, I will be the same wrestler that you have seen for the past ten years. After that, I haven't decided if I will stay in wrestling, or finally make the jump to MMA. I do have a lot of irons in the fire. We'll see where life takes me. But wherever that is, there's gonna be competition, and I'm gonna give it my all.

She never really fit into TNA's clusterfuck of Knockouts. Knockouts haven't been the same since the days of Awesome Kong and Gail Kim.

Kiss another Knockout with talent goodbye. Hate to see her go, but at least she'll be doing what she wants.

Hmm let's see...

Hogan's Check List:
* The X-Division was what built TNA's top talent and made us unique when we were first starting out. We should piss all over it. CHECK

*The Knockouts division was the next thing in line that made TNA unique after going to TV. We should piss off all the women who have actual wrestling talent and then be more like the Divas. CHECK

*TNA started to push their younger talent to show that they're going for a change and giving the show back to the originals. I should bring in all my friends from the 90s and turn it into a new WCW. Then let's piss off the face of TNA and make him look as weak as possible. CHECK

*Bring in the Ultimate Warrior and have him win all 5 titles just to piss off all the younger talent and have them leave. Then I quit the sinking ship and debut at Wrestlemania for my match against Cena and my fat paycheck for sinking TNA... In due time

^ lol

The people running this company are obviously mentally ill, the Knockouts get the highest rated segments on the TV show, yet the girls don't get paid what they deserve.

Its ok though, they're using that money for RVD and Jeff Hardy! They're pulling in the ratings....oh wait...

From what I've heard it's her decision to leave and she may return in the future. Well this kills the credibility of the Knockout division. Angelina can't save it by herself.

Lol at you people pretending like Tara even did anything. When she first debuted, her character was pretty cool as well as her same finisher. After that, you realized she really isn't that amazing, is boring/stale and is just about the worst, awkward sounding actor on the entire roster. Could give a fuck less if she leaves, tbh. Next, you'll be throwing a bitch fit if ODB leaves. Another sub-par at best in-ring talent with an absolute stale, over-played, and boring to shit 'gimmick'.

I'll mark if she goes to WWE, but there's pretty much no chance of it happening. Beth vs Victoria would make me cream.

The problem is that while Tara's character may be stale now, she can still actually wrestle. That's what the Knockout Division has had over the Diva's, actual wrestlers instead of models. But TNA is now replacing their wrestlers with divas. I've read numerous reports that Taylor Wilde is just sitting in Canada because TNA has called to do anything. Sarita is in Japan I believe again because TNA isn't user her. ODB has been injured until as of late so she's been out but wasn't really used before she was injured. They let Awesome Kong and Alissa Flash leave. BUT they put titles on Lacey Von Erich and Madison Rayne.

Their X-Division and Tag Division are the same way. They took the X-Title off of their best X Champ they've had in awhile in Amazing Red and gave it to Doug Williams who isn't even an X-Division member. Instead of putting the tag titles on an actual tag team like the MCMG or Beer Money they put them on a WWE style thrown together team and now just on one guy.

Total Nonstop Hogan only cares about the main event which they've still able to shit on their talent with AJ Styles but they only care about the main event so the other divisions are getting over looked booking wise and money wise. They could of kept many of their talent (Daniels, Tara, Kong, ect) if they were paying small fortunes to RVD, Hardy, Flair, and everyone else they bring in.
