Modeled after a song I heard. This topic is for anyone who has been in a relationship, or had a relationship where they had to deal with someone who still has a broken heart from a previous relationship, friendship or whatever the case may be and what was some of the issues you encountered, how you handled it and I guess the end result of said relationship or whatnot?

Doubt this will get any replies, but can't say I didn't create a deep topic for dicussion.

If we are talking about songs that helped us get over situations then one does stand out to me.

This past year I was deployed to the middle east again (this time Afghanistan), and during the middle of the deployment I got some news that really messed with my head. I'm really close to both of my sisters, and one day I got a message from another family member telling me I needed to call home. Anyway, my mother informed me my oldest sister was diagnosed with cancer, and needless to say this really tore me up. During some of my down time, I was sitting on my cot looking through songs to listen to, to pass the time and get my mind off of the stress of the deployment and the family issues. I was looking through some Nickleback songs and found "Lullaby" and at this point I hadn't heard the song. Anyway, listening to the lyrics closely and taking in everything, I was able to get out of my mental slump and overcome from having a mental breakdown.

After a while, I went back to being my old self and back where I was supposed to be mentally. This song motivated me so much, I wouldn't go on a mission without listening to the song to remember, you have got to get back home to be with your family to be with them, and that I was needed back home.

Life is a bitch sometimes, but you have to hit it back and keep going strong.

She had surgery this past week and is doing a lot better. Maybe they were able to get this in time. Thank you for asking bro.
