Tae Hyun Bang vs. Mairbek Taisumov added to UFC Fight Night 34 in Singapore
A lightweight matchup between South Korean athlete Tae Hyun Bang (16-7 MMA, 0-0 UFC) and Austrian prospect Mairbek Taisumov (20-4 MMA, 0-0 UFC) is the latest addition to next month’s UFC Fight Night 34 event.
UFC officials today announced the new booking.
Featuring a welterweight matchup between Tarec Saffiedine and Hyun Gyu Lim, UFC Fight Night 34 takes place Jan. 4 at Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre. As MMAjunkie first reported, the card streams live on the UFC’s new digital network. Exact details are expected to be announced shortly.
“Macho†Bang has been fighting professionally since 2004. An M-1 Global, Sengoku and DEEP veteran was formerly known as Seung Hwan Bang. In recent years, he’s suffered a few high-profile losses to Jorge Masvidal and Takanori Gomi. He’s earned eight career wins by knockout and another eight via decision.
Meanwhile, “Beckan†Taisumov makes his UFC debut on the strength of a three-fight winning streak and 8-1 record in his past nine appearances. The 25-year-old has earned 19 of his past 20 career wins by finish, including 10 by knockout and nine via submission.
