Lightweights will go to battle at UFC on Fuel 3 as Canadian T.J. Grant will face Carlo Prater on the May 15 card in Virginia.
Sources close to the fight confirmed the bout to MMAWeekly.com on Wednesday. MM-eh.CA first reported the contest.
After a long wait to make his lightweight debut, T.J. Grant will get back in action in May after an injury pushed him out of his last fight scheduled against Jacob Volkmann.
Now healthy and ready to resume his career, Grant will get back in action in May with a very veteran fighter greeting him in the Octagon.
Making his second trip to the Octagon to face Grant will be WEC veteran Carlo Prater.
Prater debuted with the UFC earlier this year and won by disqualification over Erick Silva when his fellow Brazilian landed shots to the back of his head that led to the end of the fight.
Controversial as it was, Prater got the win, but now looks to prove himself in a bigger, better way when he returns as a lightweight in May.
A few other fights confirmed for this card are Donald Cerrone/Yves Edwards, Dustin Poirier/Chang sung Jung Thiago Silva/Igor Pokrajac.
